Deezer Connect as debian package for Raspberry Pi streamers.

While developing "Deezer Connect" feature:

Can you also consider preparing *.deb package for RaspberryPi operating systems that are based on Debian?

Raspberry Pi is a very popular, great value for the money streamer and it would be great to have Deezer Connect available for that platform which is based on Debian OS.

It would be great to have e.g. in DietPi OS a package that could be installed with dietpi-software application like Spotify Connect https://dietpi.com/docs/software/media/#raspotify

TIDAL Connect is also available on Raspberry Pi ( https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=297771 ) so Deezer is the only one which is missing…

      Well, you axed Deezer Connect, so yes, a Debian package of something that isn’t there anymore is not really needed by users.

      Did your discussions bring up a solution that will enable users using media / music centers like Volumio, MoOde, Kodi etc. to integrate Deezer into their setups or are we stuck with the big brands?

      That's so sad, Deezer is the cheapest hi-fi streaming service, but you can only use it on your phone and on web gui.

      They stopped Deezer connect (which never worked as intended) 

      I just stopped my Spotify account to see this…

      2025 and unable to do a connect function that works.

      The funniest part is Deezer's forum's staff member giving compliments to non Deezer devs doing that on their free time. How a big brand like this can't "beat" a "simple" dev alone at home?

      The lack of willingness from Deezer to support Volumio saddens me too. To me, it's the best service for many reasons. With Deezer we get superior audio quality compared to Spotify, but we're stuck listening through mediocre Google speakers, while we could be using the excellent Denon setup we have in multiple rooms.

      I considered buying Sonos speakers but given Sonos' track record I'm not inclined to spend thousands of euros on hardware that may be deprecated or software that doesn't work. Volumio is brilliant in that respect, it allows us to use existing high-quality audio equipment while streaming simultaneously to multiple rooms.

      Today, I cancelled my Spotify subscription anyway, I can no longer give money to such a company. So here I am, still hoping Deezer will eventually allocate a bit of time from their devs to make a Volumio plugin.
