Deezer Favourite Tracks Limit of 2000 too small - please increase it!

Hi Rob, thanks a lot for your feedback! We know that this is something a lot of users would like to be changed. As for now this limit was implemented for technical reasons, but we will definitely pass this on to the team and I hope this can be changed in the future! 🙏🏽

I'd suggest you move some of the tracks from your Favorites to other playlists or just create a second "Favorites" list and just move all tracks to that one. (That's very simple on browser) 😉

thanks for your response! I hope the team can fix this in the future as I think it will become a problem for more people the bigger Deezer gets (more subscribers). Moving over to another playlist isn't really the solution as I know Flow is based on my favourites (which is doing a great job hence why my favourites is growing!).

I know spotify users hit a 10k limit (there's is different as it includes all tracks they add by albums) but it's a massive 321 pages of moaning on their forum (see the link below) - you'd get hundreds (maybe thousands of users) to come over to you (and in the future keep other users who I know will hit the limit).

Hope they change this (Amazon, Google and Apple have massive limits e.g. 50k plus I think!).

Not quite a problem for me personally yet but I'll be up to 2k in no time!

I agree, it will be better to see all of its favorites track.
I'm trying Deezer because of this limit on Spotify.
But the support tell me that even if we reach the 2k limit, the new favorite track are taken in account by Flow and other mix, whereas on Spotify you have to remove your song from your library.
On Deezer they remain on your library but you can't see them.

just noticing this is slowly going up (and 2nd highest on the ideas so far) - I'm hoping your technical team make this a priority as it already is showing itself as a bug bear for users (and as I said the longer a user is with you the bigger their collection gets!).

Currently I have 2000 favourite tracks which is quite poor number.
Every further attempt to like a track fails, returning 500 "Internal error" for each request.

I've not reached this number, but it'll be, so support it. XD

The limit cut be the user limit in the phone for example if in the cloud you have 2 Tera to use you can download two Tera offline and listen whenever you want. Or any limit we have in our phone with the cloud

Well I'm guessing flow uses algorithms based on your favourites so the more you have the calculation needed to try and give you the best flow experience. However I just feel 2000 is too low for most heavy users and think 10000 would be more appropriate (for favourites, albums and also tracks that can be added to a playlist).

After my IOS app stopped adding music I love (no blue heart icon) I realize there is 1,000 track limit across the board - Favorite tracks , Playlists, Songs in Playlists, Albums, Artists, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Mixes, Downloads, MP3s... that limit is only 1,000 on the mobile app and 2,000 on computer (deezer.com. I'm not sure about the computer app).
I didn't find any disclaimer about that limitation on the term of service or on the features page.
how can I "Find new loves and old favorites from over 43 million tracks..." and "Craft your (my) collection" as Deezer advertise with that limitation??

One of Deeze's best feature is the ease of adding tracks to "favorites tracks"...
why even there is a limitation??
Spotify has a more reasonable limit of 10,000.
I also have Apple music and MusicMatch and I don't see any limitation.
I hope that Deezer will remove that limit soon.

I also love deezer, but the 1000 track limit is outdated. That limit must be removed soon.

Limits of 1,000 songs in a playlist? Are you kidding? I have a 6,000 song playlist in Napster, for example. Please vote for unlimited songs in your playlist!

Thanks Rob, but unless I'm mistaken (and I very well could be) there's a difference between a "suggestion" within the forum world here, which provides the social medias-style "like" versus the "Got an Idea" posting option where an actual "Vote" button exists and is the thing, I think, which Anja was referring to. But it's all just academic - Anja, are you listening? - so to say, because it ought not to be this difficult, as has been voiced by others, to get industry standard, benchmark, competitive things like playlist capacity and shuffle options in this service. Otherwise, I'll have to cancel my trial after a month, sadly and go where I can get what I want. Thanks for the conversation and I have "liked" your post.

Please vote for my "idea" as the more votes the more likely Deezer are to change it!

I was enjoying building my library in Deezer until I hit this wall. I had managed to favourite all my 'actual' favourites from Apple Music - but didn't even make it through the "A" artists before suddenly being unable to add my regular library tracks in the same manner. I could probably cope with a limit of 2000 favourites, but not segregating my entire collection into isolated playlists. Google play has a main library and I select favourites within that library - why does Deezer force this segmented approach? Very disappointing.

Yeah definitely *very* annoying.
I don't see any reason why this sort of limit should be here.

I just hit the limit today! very bad, seriously considering other services but don't want to leave for the discoverability features, so we might have to heart only the ones tracks that we reaaaaally love, what about a rating then or something, how in 2017 this is a technical limit? there are no limits!

you will not allow me to add any more songs to any of my list when you click the blue heart if you back out of the page and go back into it whatever you just clicked you did not click apparently it will not register it plays the same 10 to 15 songs on my favorites list over and over again but will not pick anything else I said something weeks ago y'all have not even contacted me to try to fix it and I've had it no I think that's terrible customer relations on y'all's part no you sure love take my money on this exact time every month but you don't want to help me with problems

Hi @pud420 the limit is not really something to be fixed, it's just how it is. On your phone you have the limit of 1000 and on computer 2000, but, as your account is Cricket you can only use on your phone. Please see the answers above 😉

I've written too many times to Deezer by email or social networks telling them to improve this limit. In Spotify, for example, if I'm not wrong, you can have as far as 10K songs, and with Apple and Google 100.000 !!.
Yes, we can add them to playlists, but then they're normal songs, no favourite songs and Deezer doesn't learn. And another point is that when you listen to songs, you don't know if it was on a playlist or not because the app or webapp doesn't tell you anything about that.

??? What does that mean? If that's the fact I am not willing to stay with Deezer after my 3-month-trial period. Because in these 3 month I will reach the limit and hoped that this will be fixed in this time... 😞
