Question

turn off autoplay - play ONE song and no more

I noticed this is a problem from some years ago and I just made an account.

I would very much like it so when I play one song from the search bar that it plays just that ONE song and does not continue with autoplay. As many have stated, this is also a dealbreaker for me.

And it shouldn’t matter if I’m casting or listening in app or on headphones, I just want to turn off the continous play.

I’ve searched through your forums and did not come to a satisfactory solution. Yes, I turned off the automatic reccomendations but I want to emphasize the fact that I want to play just ONE specific song i searched for and nothing else. After the song ends I would like silence - no more music, no other songs.

I think I can’t describe the problem/state my preferences any more clearly.

Maybe I didn’t find the setting to turn that off, but I believe I’ve looked all over the settings (in app and in browser), so if that could be a feature - which i think should be easy to find in the settings from the get-go - I wouldn’t be thinking about changing my music listening platform.
Thank you for your time reading this and for the support I believe you will provide :)

All the best!

hello there @brickmaster3x3

as you’ve seen from your research on the forums, when you play a song from search you will always get a track mix based on that genre of track. the latest updates from the community managers strongly suggest that while the feedback from the subscribers who would like to see this changed has been received and passed on, no change to this function is on the horizon.

if you are coming from another service, you undoubtedly left that service for a reason. so you will need to weigh all the benefits of deezer’s service vs the one you left, or other ones you’ve tried.

whatever you decide, thank you for giving deezer a try. I hope it works out for you, but if not, best of luck wherever you land.

enjoy your music.
