Repetitive "Shuffle my music" // keeps playing the same songs

I used to use FLOW all the time, but it played the same music over and over, sometimes one song would play twice in 15 minutes. When I recently discovered "Shuffle My Music" I was happy because I could see what was going to be played and it wouldn't repeat anything (at least not for the 50 songs of the playlist). However, "Shuffle My Music" still suffers from issues FLOW had, namely only playing one or two specific songs from favourite artists and playing the same songs every time. If I pressed "Shuffle My Music" multiple times you can be sure that 80% of the songs in any playlist would be in every other playlist.
So, my question: how do I fix My Music? How do I get FLOW or "Shuffle My Music" to have variety? How do I get more than one song from an artist (no matter how many albums and songs they may have) to play?

Hi @timh we are very sorry that the “Shuffle my Music” feature algorithm is not perfect yet. I can assure you that the feedback has been passed on to the product team several times. They had to focus on other features but I just asked for you again and will let you know as soon as have more info.

In the meantime, I highly recommend that you simply shuffle your favourites, listen to your Flow, listen to the new playlist Top 2019 :wink: or shuffle your own playlists on other days for more variety.

Hey Ana. It doesn't, there maybe be 2 that are not starred and when I say 2 I mean 2. And again thus seems to be a desktop problem on an iMac.

Actually same goes for both mobile and app. The best option is you can shuffle play your downloaded album better which are there not limited to the starred limitation. Seriously though. You guys should look into this and maybe ease the track mix to at least 100.

That's odd, I use the desktop on a mac too and it definitely shuffles from everything. For me it's easy to check because I don't really have many favorites (I use the favorites more to keep track of songs I'm currently obsessed with 😃 ) as you have many favorites and fav albums it might be a bit harder to check but I'll do some tests and investigate this for you 👍

Had one thing to add. Just wanted to bring to your attention the music apps page in the android versuon, allot of the apps don't work. Only the ones with the Deezer simbol work. The ones with an android symbol beside it and I am using an android phone never work. You guys aware of this? To bad cause one if them involved typing and artist name and getting recommendations for artists that gave the same vibe.

I only just rejoined, using a 152songs/10 hour playlist as a experiment today, why have i only heard less than a third of this playlist? Keeps repeating songs. I heard mumford and sons the cave 4 times, princes songs the same and one song 3 times! Twice in an hour! If i stopped it to take the dog out, on restarting will hear roughly the same songs! If I've a 152 playlist I'd like to hear all, not just some! I had this problem with Spotify, my theory is you do this on purpose so i will upgrade..... No chance! I don't mind ads or using in shuffle mode, just let me hear ALL my songs! If you are aware of these issues as i read in other posts, why instead of doing nothing? Fix it! Also why tell people to unistall app or clear cache etc? The problems are your app not my phone... Bloody annoying!

If you stop and restart, it would restart everything again so naturally some songs would play again. If you play it uninterruptedly, all songs from the playlist should eventually play.

when shuffling my songs, in my Favorited set of songs it will only play specific songs. like "enter sandman" by metallica. ive herd this song, along with others multiple times and ive never herd some of the other songs ive liked. in the playlist theirs probably 500 tracts. and only 80ish get played. like i liked about 15 twenty one piolet songs. and ive never herd a single one while in the free shuffle mode. but herd some songs multiple repeated times.and ive been using deezer for ages. still love the service but this problem is really anying to people who use deezer alot. many thanks!😀
