Hi all,

I've been a paying Premium user for around eight years now and am pretty happy with it but I'm open to discovering new things. What are the good reasons, in your opinion, to shift to Deezer?

Reason number one.

Spotify is going to raise the prices. Price increase will arrive soon. Already on Family plans.

In other words, it doesn’t make any sense for me at least to raise prices in a recession, where people have lost jobs and are cutting unnecessary expenses — like their streaming subscriptions.

With Deezer Premium I enjoy Premium month at €7,99 price point year in advanced.

Spotify Premium can increase from 9,99 for 10,99 easily if not more.

I see big marketplace waiting Deezer because of this price raise this coronatime.

to me deezer has the best interface. spotify i find it tries to predict what you want to see first but it fails. deezer is more standard i know where to find things. also i think music discover deezer offers more options. inspired by flow gives you multiple playlists based on genre and unlike spotify it is mostly songs not in your library. spotify has 6 daily mixes but when you look closer its 70% of songs that already are liked in your library. so this is not discovery but more just a mix of music you already like with a few new ones in there. i tested this and found it to be surprisingly accurate. spotify has discover weekly which does a decent job but its not nearly as many songs overall as deezer gives you with its daily mixes that are not in library. i like how on deezer mobile app you can like songs right in the playlist as opposed to clicking a hamburger menu and then selecting like. you can see right away if those songs already are in your library or if they are new. give deezer a try

For me (I was with Spotify a while back) Deezer is better also because...

nicer interface (when you "like" a song it puts it under favourite songs, if you "like" an album it adds it to your albums but DOESN'T put all the songs in your Favourites songs (unlike Spotify does - very annoying!).

Not anymore Rob.

I am Spotify Premium user for 3 years and now decided to canceled and use the  Deezer for better audio quality, but I still using the Spotify free account to listen offline by using the Tunelf Spotify Music Converter which is cheaper than the Premium.so I use both:blush:

Hello.

I was Spotify Premium 2010-2016, roughly a bit over 5 years!

I changed because it was overbloated with stuff I never needed. Their radio played same artists and songs over, over, over, over and over again. I selected Google Music All Access and paid 2016-2020, roughly a bit less than 5 years! I needed to go because I’ve got message that they will close app.

Deezer Premium is my current favourite. Why.

It is better than Google Music. It has BEST sound on the market if you need 320K only. Radio plays new songs over, over, over, over and over again. Best layout, hands down. Best mobile app on the market, hands down. Everything just works, so I paid year in advanced. Thanks for your time.

If you love music, you can’t go wrong with year of Deezer Premium.

I was using Deezer premium 1y before I switched to Spotify premium. There are quite many features that Deezer is having ...I'm missing Deezer quality and clean sound, also lyrics, sound search, flow etc. but now I just cannot imagine not having gapless playback and 'connect' features that Spotify has. For me those two are basic features. It's so easy and convenient when I stream from xbox to my DAC to use mobile or pc app to search, pick and control playback on xbox and not using controller. For example if I stream from xbox I don't have to turn on my tv to see what is playing and to use xbox controller to play next song. I just open a mobile app and do all that. If those two features will be implemented in Deezer (hopefully soon) I will be back on Deezer without a heartbeat :-)

Hi @ifeher

I have to agree with you that the Spotify Connect feature is brilliant and makes “moving/controlling” what you’re playing around devices easy - hopefully Deezer implements something similar in the future.

A lot of users don’t switch between devices (e.g. it’s just a speaker/pc/phone) they use so don’t need the connect and then Deezer trumps! :)

I'm a "Deezerhead" (fanboy) and just love music! (Please note even though I love all things Deezer I do not work for Deezer and therefore cannot assist with account issues etc.)

I am a long-time Deezer user (Family and now Hifi) - why should I move to Spotify?

After 2 months testing Spotify Premium, I must say Spotify Connect is a killer feature.

The difference between using the computer or mobile to listen to music by streaming is considerable.

I listen to music with my Mac using Boom 3D Equalizer to adjust the sound to my own preference. Mac is always connected to the HiFi sound system and Boom 3D makes a huge difference in sound quality. Using this set up, the difference between Deezer HiFi and Spotify Premium is miminal with the advantage that I can control the music from anywhere in the house with great sound quality.

Futhermore, when using the mobile (with headphones, e.g.) I can use a third-party Spotify's app that makes a nice improvement to the sound. It is simple but works very very good: SpotEQ.

With this being said, the next 3 weeks will be decisive to definitely move or not to Spotify.

Hey @LFM

Our feature here won't be finished in 3 weeks but it's being prioritised because, after all, it is indeed a killer feature - and so, we have to be realistic. Subscribe to both topics if you can, so that you can be kept updated in case you decide to move to another streaming service :thumbsup_tone2:

I don’t think this is a deal breaker for me.

After all I am just listening with finest Bluetooth headphones on laptop and with loudest Bluetooth earphones on the phone. It works perfectly fine for me with Deezer playlist sync.

I still hope they can implement it for people who are keen into this Connection feature.

Like I said before, having Deezer Premium paid year in advanced is best hot dog in town.
