Hi there @JanineG
Thank you for reaching out to us. There isn't an option to do this at the moment, but we're working on improving our podcasts' experience and adding a podcast episode to a playlist has been one of the topics mentioned. So thank you for your feedback, I'll be passing it on to the right team here and in the meantime, please have a look at our ideas forum here
+1 for this feature. You should be able to choose whether a podcast is autocued. At the moment having to set a timer for around the length of the episode but it's annoying when I forget and wake up in the middle of the night with a sleep podcast still playing.
Great feedback @cazzzac we're still new with these features so it's important to have your opinion
Yeah I think for most podcasts really, the default behaviour shouldn’t be to autoplay. Whereas for music you probably want that feature most of the time. Ideally there’d be a toggle button for Shows and Music where you can choose to autoplay or just play a single track (either on-page or in the settings).
Gotcha @cazzzac it makes sense, really. Perhaps it's even in our scope for this year.
In any case, I'll let our devs know about this
I’d like to add to this that if you do autoplay it should be in chronical order of the release of the podcast. Right now podcasts are displayed in reverse chronological order (which is good). But when you start the podcast on 1 episode before the latest because you missed that one, then the autoplay will not go to the latest episode afterwards but to the even older episode before it. So display should be reverse chronological so you can see the latest episode (as it is now) but playback should be chronological (reverse of what it is now).
Thank you for sharing your contribution @garepjotr very much appreciated
