Playback keeps skipping tracks

Consistent issue when trying to listen to albums. A song will finish but the app will just decide to skip a track or two. When i skip back the tracks play fine but a few songs later it will happen again.

Has happened on multiple devices, multiple installs and just today again on a brand new phone. The cache was only 30MB out of 6GB allocation.

I'm utterly fed up with it and am about to cancel my family subscription

I am sorry but we can not reproduce the issue @Boldlump

Can you give me more information on your device, the version of the app?

Does it happen with Wifi or with your data?

Happens with data. On Bluetooth with multiple devices.

Using a One Plus 10T but had identical issue with my previous phone.

7.0.24.47 for Android is the app version but issue has been happening for months on previous devices and installs.

Oh and it is also happening with playlists and "Mixes Inspired By..."

Does it not happen on Wifi or then the Bluetooth is off?

Can you try to increase the smart cache of your device?

I have 489MB of data for Deezer and an allocation of 20GB for the smart cache. Over 100GB free on my phone.

Have cleared the cache before with no improvement. I very rarely use WiFi.

I almost always use Bluetooth

I am sorry @Boldlump, but we can’t reproduce the issues you describe.

What do you have your bluetooth connected to?

Can you update the Android version of your phone?

Can you follow this step by step, please?

  1. Restart the app (kill the app and remove it from the notification bar)
  2. Try another network (4G or Wifi)
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Delete all the cache & data from the app (Data and storage, and then “Clear all”), then restart the app
  5. Un-install the app and re-install the app
