MS0004 error, can't do anything

Hi, until yesterday i'd never had any issues with Deezer, but today when i tried to played some music it was impossible, even the downloaded ones

I tried everything i could find to fix it, switching network, clearing cache, logging out, I reinstalled the app but still, nothing.

Idk what to do, that's a big problem Deezer

Some users were still experiencing issues following this morning's service interruption.

A fix was deployed at 6:15 PM CET to resolve these problems.

You may need to sign out and then sign back in to your app.

Windows app can’t play any kind of list really, every 2-3 songs it throws an error that it couldn’t play. Play button doesn’t work, have to click skip manually and it won’t work via my media keys because I have to click “ok” on the error first. It’s stupid because I can go and play the song it errors out on just fine if I go back and hit play on it myself. I’m so sick of this, it’s been borked since I signed up and I’ve reinstalled 5 times at this point. It’s frustrating

After I was asked to accept or refuse to have my data used for research and other things and I refused I couldn't listen to more than half of my music. Even tho I have deezer premium. I uninstalled and installed the app twice and logged out once and logged back in. What is going on? What can I do to get my music back? Please help me.

Hi @frostymm !

If the Deezer desktop app won't play songs here is Troubleshooting Steps:

Reinstall/Update App: Uninstall the app, restart your computer, and download the latest version from the official Deezer site.

Clear App Data: Sometimes, removing residual app data files is required to fix playback errors. Try clearing your browser cache .

Check Internet/VPN: A weak connection or active VPN can interrupt streaming.

Login Issues: Log out and back in to confirm your subscription status is active.

System Resources: Insufficient RAM or high CPU usage can cause the app to freeze.

Reduce your open tabs: How many browser tabs do you have open? Depending on the power of your computer, sometimes lots of open tabs can affect Deezer’s performance.

Security settings :
Is there a security setting/firewall in place that is not recognizing Deezer as safe? Check for any Flash blockers, ad blockers or security plugins that could be interfering with Deezer and make sure they recognize Deezer as a safe site.

Android / Samsung with latest OS versions and latest app version.

It’s ridiculous that some music I was listening to literally just yesterday is suddenly no longer playing, either greyed out, or giving a “request content is not loading” (MS0004) error. It’s not even obscure artists I’m talking about; for example, Lights On by FKA Twigs and I’ll Keep Loving You by David Guetta. What am I even paying for?

Tried switching WiFi networks, switching to data, clearing app cache inside of Deezer, clearing app cache through Android’s settings, force stopping app, restarting phone, etc. I even confirmed my Premium subscription is active.

Lo and behold, the same music plays on desktop web version of Deezer without issue, but not on my phone. I’ve said for years that Deezer has the worst, most unreliable and most unstable app among its competitors, and the developers seem insistent on reaffirming this stance.

Sadly @Nina Nebo  the breaking news is not always true and you are wrong. Deezer was down globally for hours earlier, check down detector. There was no mention of issues, and the online status was showing all good. This is just plain incompetent not to communicate with their customers. Yes it was early hours French time, but France is not the centre of the universe for a global service.

@unytix Pourriez-vous vérifier si vous rencontrez le même problème sur notre site web https://www.deezer.com ?

Titres grisés, impossible d'écouter en streaming, etc. ?

To clarify, do you mean 1-2 tracks greyed out or are all of your tracks greyed out in a playlist?

Have you already tried any of the following things? logging out and back in again, resetting the cache of your app or reinstalling your app?

I’ve just sent you a DM about this as I’ve just attempted some account level manipulations of your Deezer account that I’m hoping might fix this issue for you.

On top of that I noticed that i can’t access to my playlists on android app, windows app or website. Error reported “try again later”

All three are affected? We’ve typically seen this only affecting the apps, website functioned just fine.

If that’s the case, then I’m afraid I’m at the limit of what I can do to help with this personally. I’ve passed the details of your case on to our engineers and I’m going to raise a ticket with our support team too.

You should receive an email notification with the details of the ticket.
