Deezer keeps stopping (android - zfold 4)

Hi,

My Deezer keeps stopping playing every few songs. It doesn't close. Just switches song off and when I play again the song restarts.

I didn't have this issue previously (been a subscriber since 2016) and it started this year even when I was using an s22 ultra before I changed my phone. Happens on phone, earphones, speaker and Android Auto. Even happens with downloaded tracks because I initially thought this was a connectivity issue.

What is the issue? How do I fix it? It's super irritating.

Siphe

Hi @Siphe.Kala, sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately, it is a known issue with some users that have in common devices Samsung, Android 12 or 13 mostly.

It is under investigation and one of the possibilities we have found so far and worked for some users, has to do with settings of the battery.

Saving mode is not recommend when using Deezer app and here’s some steps to optimize the battery for Deezer app

Can you please follow these 2 points below:
1)
- Open your phone settings > Applications > Deezer
- Check that Remove permissions if app is unused is disabled. If it's enabled, disable it.
2)
- Open your phone settings > Applications > Deezer
- Select App Battery Usage (you may need to tap on Advanced Settings to find it) > Unrestricted
- Open Deezer, then test a playlist

If the issue continues, do as follows:

  • Open your phone settings > Battery and Device Care
  • Tap on Memory > Excluded apps > + > Deezer > Add
  • Restart your phone
  • Open Deezer, then test a playlist

Let me know if you need further help.
