Closing app music keeps playing in the background

This has been happening for 2 years and no fix? The fact I need to go into Settings > Apps > Deezer to close this app is ridiculous. Pausing the music and closing the app in the cascade screen isn't closing it as it is still active in the background and still needs to be force stopped. Just pausing the music and hiding the app doesn't mean the app has been closed.

We know it can be frustrating @Rooleyrools - thank you for your patience and understanding. I'll be passing your feedback on as well, in the hope that a solution is prioritised.

On my Android (Samsung A40), the Deezer app is still playing music even when I explicitly close the app. I must reopen the app and stop the player. This is quite annoying since I'd expect the app to shut down on close. Is there a way to do this ? An option or parameter ? Thanks.

Thanks for reporting this to us. At the moment on some Android models, this is the behaviour of the app, there's no option to change. Please stop the player for the time being, and I'll be passing your comments to our devs so that they can look into it

Hello. I am new to Deezer but have been streaming Spotify for years. When you close Spotify  by swiping it off the screen, the music stops. Same with Tidal. Why is Deezer not doing this? I should not have to force stop the app to stop it from playing mujsic. Very annoying. So much so, I lasted just 4 days with Deezer before cancelling my trial subscription. Please fix and I will return.

This issue has been more than 3 years and its not fix. Am having the same issue, I have really joined Deezer but this is one fact why I have end my subscription.
