I am a Premium user. I have enough storage on my android phone. I have cleared cache. Storage is on my device not SD Card. Subscription up to date. So WHY don't new songs added to my downloaded playlists want to download!? The playlist green download bar has not changed progress in three days now.

Hey there @TanitaOos

Can you try deleting the downloaded playlists that are pending?

Then re download them.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello, it did not work. New podcasts won't download either. Seems there is something wrong with the download functionality. I have removed a large amount of downloads too. I logged in and out and hardbooted my phone.

I am able to download off other streaming apps and I have more than enough space.

I don't understand.

Please help!

Could you please try the following steps one by one and test if it works after each step?
Keep in mind that this will delete your downloads and you’ll have to download them again from your music library.

  1. Restart the app (kill the app and remove it from the notification bar)
  2. Try another network (4G or Wifi)
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Delete all the cache & data from the app (Data and storage, and then “Clear all”), then restart the app
  5. Un-install the app and re-install the app

Please let me know if that works.

Crap I'm having same problem. Only half of track have downloaded & had spinner going for days. Shit app.

I have the same problem and none of the proposed solutions have worked so far (from other threads from months ago as well).  Would love a resolution for this!  Thank you!

Hi  @Tim Millett @Alison Orton,  sorry to hear that both of you are having this issue. Indeed this is a known issue and our developers are working on a fix.

A possible workaround which is a bit annoying, would be clear the cache inside Deezer app under settings>data and storage (that will delete all content downloaded previously, so sorry for that) and them start downloading your content again.

Let me know if that sorted the problem temporarily.

In the meantime, please reach customer support here, to report your issue so that when the fix is launched you will be updated in following days.

Hi,

I did try that & tried increasing cache size. Tried all sorts, including re-install. It just downloaded a few tracks, then got constant spinner…

Haven't tried again since, as got fed up with burning my battery out with all the screen time.

I'll try again soon, see how it is.

Thanks

Tim

I tried it and the app re-downloaded the first playlist with no trouble.  But the next two playlists I tried remain incomplete.

Same happens to me Alison, it's like it just hits a brick wall..

Hi @Tim Millett @Alison Orton , Thank you for carrying out the suggested procedure.
As this did not resolve your situation, please contact customer support here to report your issue so that when the fix is released you will be updated within the next few days.

Issue remains! Tracks would still play after deleting so I emptied cache & data files. Now I have to re- download all my music & again, they just download a bit then stop. This app is rubbish! I'm paying "premium" rate, yet the app is rank amature. Sort your act out Deezer.

2 months later - same problem remains whilst I pay premium rate. Shocking.

Hi @Tim Millett indeed we didn’t launch yet the fix and I can’t tell if it will take 2 weeks or 2 months unfortunately.

Meantime, I have just tried here one workaround and worked for me.

I select my favourites, plus 3 playlist to download, waited that all was download. The app was still telling that download was not finish, so I just killed the app (background included) and after restarting the app all was perfect.

Let me know if that worked for you.
