Hi @Lucelia.Mascarenhas,

It is possible to link your Deezer account to your Scrobble Last FM account from a computer/laptop using this link:

https://www.deezer.com/account/share

You should see the Scrobble as the option on the right.

The new MS Edge Chromium is downloadable now. You can install the Web Scrobbler browser extension from the Chrome Web Store (and other Chrome extensions like Stylus, uBlock etc.), see the linked posting on Get Satisfaction for the download links, more details and a screenshot with the Deezer web player scrobbling in Edge to your Last.fm profile.

So all Microsoft users who cannot use other browsers or install the Deezer desktop app due to limitations at their workplace or school can scrobble with Edge now. Like mentioned before, this method also has additional advantages over the internal Deezer scrobbling option like enabling editing scrobbles during the first 50% of the current track and saving these edits for future scrobbling of the same track. It correctly submits artists, albums and track names with the ampersand symbol and provides the real-time “Scrobbling now” indication in your Last.fm Recent Tracks list. Last but not least it might still work when the internal scrobbling option does not for unknown reasons. Because of that you have to disable it to avoid duplicate scrobbles when both methods work again.

Its biggest disadvantage - no HiFi streaming - has been fixed a few weeks ago, as the Deezer web player supports FLAC streaming now like the mobile apps.

When I hear Florence + The Machine’s Lungs (Deluxe Version), which can be found at “https://www.deezer.com/album/968243?utm_source=deezer&utm_content=album-968243&utm_term=392133707_1579291392&utm_medium=web”, Deezer doesn’t scrobbles its tracks to Last.fm.

Other albums I hear go to the Last.fm list of scrobbles.

What is happening that some artists/albums scrobble and some do not?

Hi there @joaopaulo1511

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please look at @bluezzbastardzz mention above, perhaps it can scrobble a bit better that way.

About what you've asked, I believe is to do with the characters in the artist name.

@joaopaulo1511: Known issue with the internal Deezer scrobbling, + symbols even prevent submitting a scrobble to Last.fm at all, & symbols only get left out in the scrobble. Use the Web Scrobbler browser extension with any browser (except Safari) if you want to prevent that and scrobble with the Deezer web player.

Or use a manual scrobbler like Last.fm Scrubbler, Universal Scrubbler or Open Scrobbler to add the missing scrobbles afterwards. As a Last.fm Pro user, you can also edit your past scrobbles in your library to fix the missing ampersand symbol in artist, album and track names.

I try log via browser.. That not working, not connecting! Phone (Android) no option connect Last.fm!!!

WHY THAT PLATFORM NOW NOT WORKING WITH LAST.FM????

You have to connect your Deezer account with your Last.fm account in the web player, see the screenshot on page 12 of this thread.

@Private Person

: There is no extra option for connecting Last.fm and Deezer in the iOS app or any other apps except for their web player in the Alerts & Sharing tab. This works via both APIs like Last.fm and Spotify, so it will scrobble with all Deezer devices and apps.

That way not working web player.. After last.fm connecting.. THAT IS GRAY!!!  What is working solution???

Ok.. Now it working, that needs disabling Adguard..

Next question, what is best scrobbler Android 8 platform? Thanks! :grinning:

Thanks for confirming that it works after disabling your adblocker. By the way, another reason why someone may not see this part of the Alerts & Sharing tab is being only a family member, but not the main account.

Concerning Android scrobbler apps, you shouldn’t need them for Deezer, as explained in the related Last.fm FAQ and also in this thread. But if you want to scrobble other streaming sites or Android music players, a good choice should be Pano Scrobbler, Simple Scrobbler or Scroball. I think they all should still work with Android 8. The official Last.fm Android app also works for many music players and some streaming sites including Deezer.

Also note that if you enable Deezer scrobbling both in the Deezer web player and in any Android scrobbler, you will get duplicate scrobbles, so it is better to disable one of these methods.

The web player has been updated in terms of the available account settings which also includes the Last.fm connection. Now it can be found under the “More” tab and then “Sharing preferences”, see this new screenshot:

Your account settings also have two new tabs: “Notification preferences” where you can choose between several options for notifications including followed artists, and “My apps” where you can manage your connected external apps. That is why the former “Alerts & sharing” tab has been split in two parts and moved. Also note that the available settings in the desktop app look different and lack some of the options.

Dears,

My scrobbles at Last.fm are updated only when I use the web player. No update using iOS ou Desktop App (Mac).

Any suggestion to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Updating: after Deezer logout/login Last.fm scrobble is working fine in all devices.

Hello @LFM, thanks a lot for keeping us updated

Wrong assumption, Family members still cannot see the Social Preferences in the web player to connect to Last.fm, sorry.

I did an account and it scrobbles from laptop and phone.

You can see my Last.fm here. Make sure to look into it with glasses or salt, as you may not recognise ANY music I play here. It’s far from something you hear on the radio all day...

I add feedback about this settings page. The advertised Google+ is discontinued, can remove?

Deezer scrobble not working properly:

It won’t show Now playing track as it plays, only as it played. Also it did not transfer proper meta data. For example DJ Gollum Remix is often out, and it can be seen as I listen original mix which is not the same. It also makes hard to know which remix of a track is most popular as they all register as “original”. This could be fixed. As a workaround remove Deezer scrobbler and replace it with WEB Scrubbler Chrome extension and on phone with Last.fm Scrubble app. They will include info.

If you listen hard dance music with DJ’s remixing tracks, it can be in one release from 1 to 20 remixes of different DJ’s, with Deezer default scrobbling all as original track. Not good.

Our Last.fm integration has been on the backlog for improvements for quite some time now, @hpguru. Thank you for reviving the discussion with your feedback :thumbsup_tone2:

Thank, may you improve it eventually to include Now Playing and Remix Data like DJ Gollum Remix, as now it scrobbles as Track Name instead of Track Name (DJ Name Edit). Two different tracks.

Then I could get rid of excess last.fm scrubblers and go back to deezer scrobbler.

Good point - thanks for adding to the forum @hpguru. Once the teams are able to prioritise this, they'll look into this thread again :thumbsup_tone2:

This problem should be solved now, because Deezer Family members can have their own login and account settings now, so you should be able to see the Sharing preferences (that is the new tab name) where you can connect to your own Last.fm account.

As soon as I accept an invite to Deezer Family, Social Music settings disappear without a trace from my Sharing preferences tab. Turning off the AdBlocker doesn’t bring it back, either. Same with the desktop app.

However, if you link your Last.fm account to Deezer before you accept the invite, scrobbling continues to work. I think I should be able to see and manage my social media authentications whether or not my independent account is linked to a family or not.

Weird, did you join the Family account from a free or a Premium Deezer account? The announcement mentions that invites must only be sent to and accepted by free users:

The requirements to join a Deezer Family account :white_check_mark:

  • The account to be added must be on our free subscription. If there's a paid subscription in place, you must cancel it and wait for the end of it

  • The main account and the guest account must be from the same country

Also did you try to hard refresh the open browser tab with your Sharing preferences with Ctrl+F5? Maybe you are seeing an old cached version of the page. And the desktop app cannot show you the Social Music section of the Sharing preferences, this has always been that way.

I joined a Family while being on Free, I don’t think it would’ve let me do otherwise.

I’ve just tried refreshing the page with cache disabled altogether. Even tried to log in from another browser. Same result. Tested on Edge, Chrome and Opera.

Hi,

I can’t connect my deezer account to last.fm. I allow the acces, but It doesn’t work.

Anyone have the same problem?

@bluezzbastardzz might be able to help, he’s our Last.fm expert around these parts
