My favorites have become a huge mix of different music genres. I'd like to be able to tell Deezer to create playlists made from all tracks that are in my favorites, based on a theme or genre that I select. Or just allow me to filter my favorites so I can select for example: rap, dubstep etc. then I can just listen to the ones that are filtered.

In Favorites you have the option Shuffle my music.
If you start playing Shuffle my music then will be played only music which are in your favorites (playlists, albums)
Flow includes favorites and recommendations based on the content you've favored on Deezer. It means that it plays music from your favorites and suggests songs based on the music you listen to.
If you want to listen to a specific genre, I suggest you create your own playlist and put all your favorite songs from that genre there and then you can listen to your favorite genre at any time .
Also in Explore you have Explore all, where you can choose some of Deezer's playlists with a specific theme or genre .
