I fought the Law and Hips don't Lie, bring back a lot of childhood memories for me. 😍

It's amazing how at least 2 of these songs have appeared on my "FLOW" a while back and were instant favourites.

I had to take time to understand the lyrics, it's a beautiful playlist with quite deep messages in them. 🥳

Here’s the top 5 from the list! I guess this is the most universally appealing playlist for a quick intro to some of the best artists of the Singapore music scene.

Track 1-In The Joy by JJLin , featuring (the legendary & the one and only) Anderson paak. JJLin is an icon in the Mandarin music scene and local music industry and it’s his first major collab to bring SG artists to the spotlight. It’s so catchy with positive vibes and reminiscent of “Can’t stop the feeling” by Justin Timberlake.

Track 2- It’s you by Sezairi. The winner of our 2nd season of Singapore Idol. One of the best selling artists in SG. His flawless vocals left me speechless.

Track 3- Break Out by Glenn Yong. A rising star with ambitions of breaking out of SG and making it in Hollywood. With rap flow like Jack Harlow and G Dragon, it’s a track not to be missed. He’s a rapper, actor, model and influencer. There’s nothing he cant’ do…

Track 4- Sugar Rush by Cayenne. If you are craving for some sugar rush and dose of dopamine, here’s your quick fix. She sings indie pop (Sobs) and now hyperpop! She produces and writes and sings everything wow...The oddly satisfying dissonance and unique chorus is phenomenal...

Track 5- Lion City Kia by shiGGa Shay is like a quick crash course to Singapore culture (the lion city). It is written with Singlish (Singapore English) and common lingos used in our country, injecting his very own sense of humour, unique style and flow. It features other rappers of different races and ethnicities to showcase our cultures as a multi-racial society.

Bonus Track- BLUE BUTTERFLY by invisiblespider. (It’s my latest track!) It has a very addictive and dark vibes with themes of escapism and hedonism. The upbeat tempo and catchy melody juxtaposes with the dark themes of depression, addiction & loneliness.
