Is there a way to exclude certain language songs from playlists and recommendations on Deezer?

I’ve already switched the country but still continue to see songs from local artists. Doesn’t the country change affect that? What is that feature for then?

I know I have to dislike those songs and artists, but it would be awesome if you implement language settings for songs, or do some adjustments to the algorithm. Thanks!

In theory, switching country allows you to hear songs and artists from that country. Maybe artists from your country are also famous in the other one.

Hey @Dawg

Interesting feedback. Have you tried checking your favourites (all sections including albums, artists, etc) to see if there's an accidental intruder? Also, have you tried clearing the app's cache to see if helps? Let us know, in the meantime, I'll forward your suggestions :thumbsup_tone2:

Theory doesn’t work. Same thing here - setting’s  in the US, I listen to some music in Ukrainian, but Deezer keeps offering me God-awful Russian music. Flagged everything I could, it still here. Considering the situation with the Russian war in Ukraine, I’m throwing up in my mouth a little every time I hear Russian. I know it’s kinda making myself too comfortable, but is there any way to exclude Russian from my preferences forever, because c’mon?

Hello @zhurbenka I don’t think there is a way to exclude any particular language, but I’ll ask our developers and let you know.
Thanks for your patience

@zhurbenka I’ve asked our developers and they confirmed that there’s not a way to ban a specific language, you can only ban artists or tracks.
Apologies for the inconvenience
