Android app issues


Over the past day or two moods have stopped appearing to guide the Flow, and lyrics won’t show up. Also songs that I’ve liked in the past show as unliked, but when I tap the heart I get a notice saying that the song has already been liked. Anyone else having these issues? Are they working on a fix?

Hi @Aaron A, thank you for your message.

To try to solve your issue, please try the procedures described below:

  1. Restart the Deezer app (completely close the Deezer app and restart it).
  2. Clear the app cache. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Deezer > Storage > Clear Cache. This action will remove temporary files that may be causing the error.
  3. Update the Deezer app (make sure you have the latest version of the Deezer app installed on your device).
  4. Restart your device (turn off the device completely and turn it back on after a few seconds). If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling the Deezer app from your device and reinstalling it from the official app store (Google Play Store for Android, App Store for iOS).

If you have already performed all the suggested procedures and the issue persists, please answer the following questions:

• Have you tried to log out and log in again with the email address?
• What's the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
• What's the version of the operating system (Android, iOS, Windows or Mac) installed on your device? 
• If you're using our app, what's the Deezer version installed on your device? 
• If you're using Deezer on the web browser, what's your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge)? What's the latest version installed? 

Please send me too a video with all the procedures you do and a screenshot of the app Deezer with the option “Data and storage”.

Hey, Have you contacted the app's support team or checked their official forums or social media channels for reports of similar issues?

The past few weeks I am unable to listen to podcasts. They all stop after approx 30 seconds and wont restart. Music is working fine. I have logged out/logged in, emptied cachet, restarted phone, closed app etc. 

 

Nothings is working. Please fix this. I am paying for those podcastst

Hi Jaime, 

For a short few days after I posted this (snd after resetting/restarting/logging out etc) I could listen to podcasts again. And then again....ány podcast I want to listen to, will stop playing within a minute. And then wont restart. This only happens with podcasts so far, not with music. I tested multiple different podcast (from different sources) and they all stop playing. So this is not an issue with a specific series. I really would like this to be fixed asap, because I pay for deezer especially to be able to listen to podcasts. 

I have added a screenshot of the notification I get when podcast stops playing. 

I did empty my caches etc, so clearly there is another issue.

Btw; when I push try again, it wont play or even start again. It also keeps showing the episode I want to listen on my deezer sreen.

I had the same issue. Sometimes the podcast starts without any problems. But when I stop and starting it again, it doesn't start anymore.

I also tried this on an old iPhone and I didn't had this issue there.

Thats not the same problem, but a different one. All my podcasts stop playing within a minute.

Have you tried to increase the smart cache directly in the settings of your Deezer app?

If that’s not working yet, I would also suggest you to try to delete the app and download it again if possible

I have cleared both caches (through my phone settings and in Deezer app) at least 10 times.

I logged out and in.

 

Restarted phone.

And now indeed I did remove and than re-install Deezer.

 

The problem still occurs. So thanks again for the tip, but I followed up ALL if the advices given on Deezer and here. And still my podcasts will stop playing within a minute and than not restart. 

 

It did improve for 1 day and 2 whole podcasts a few weeks ago. And than nothing again.

These issues are likely due to a temporary bug or server-side problem. Try logging out and back in, clearing the app cache, or reinstalling the app. Checking for updates may also help, as a fix could be released soon. If the problem continues, report it through the app’s support system.
