Podcast keeps skipping

Hi,

When listening to the TableManners podcast a lot of the episodes keep skipping to the next episode after the first 10-15 minutes. It’s very random and not all of them but it’s truly annoying. Anyone any idea how to solve the problem?

Many thanks!

Elaine

Hello @SVanacco

I can not reproduce the issue, I could listen to the podcast past halfway,

could you please delete cache and cookies of your browser and try again?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Elaine1971 can you please send me the URL on Deezer for that podcast and a couple of episodes where this happened in order to test it on our side and see if we can reproduce the issue?
Thanks

Hi Jaime,

Thanks for your reply. These are the two which recently skipped after about 17 minutes. Appreciate any help you can offer!

Hey there @Elaine1971

I've checked the podcasts and listened to them without any problems. Are you listening to them on mobile? If yes, please go to the app's settings and delete your cache, it should sort the problem.

Keep us posted! :relaxed:

Hi @Rudi !

I can confirm that the problem is still there. I am listening on Firefox 103.

I’ve been listening to “This podcast will kill you” and had the problem on almost every episode.

For instance with this episode (11) : https://deezer.page.link/XvE8NWnFF9HKCsix8 i couldn’t get halfway through the show without it skipping to the previous episode (10) 3 times. This is really infuriating because it also marks the skipped episode as completely played, making it difficult to find the point where it skipped.

Please tell me if there’s anything i can do to help you troubleshoot. I had the issue with other podcasts as well.

Thanks !

Hi there,

I have exactly the same issues on Firefox AND on the Android Application of Deezer (which is up to date, cache has been cleared between tries, etc etc..)

It is totally random, for example the episode S07E39 of this show :

It happened like 10 times in a row at 16:00 on the application, and when I listened on Firefox there was not this issue anymore (but on Firefox, it skips like every 20 minutes...)

Exactly the same problem for me on all recent Firefox Versions and with all Podcasts.

Hello

This topic marked as answered but it is not. Some episodes skip to the next one randomly. Deleting the cache is no help.

May Deezer try to solve this problem?

Thanks for your help

Hello,

I have issues on the android app as well.

Podcasts skip past a certain timestamp that seems to vary depending on the episode. Not systematic, but more often than not lately. (Listening to you're dead to me)

Also, whereas I'm listening to podcasts or music, the app just shuts down with not error message or any kind of information. This happens ~5 times a day on top of the podcasts skips.

I tried clearing cache a few times, even uninstalled the app twice, but the problems keep happening. Kinda wondering why this thread is marked as "answered".

Cheers
