I have to keep wondering what happened to Deezer. Why has it gotten so expensive? I have to admit, I don't miss Deezer anymore and I've been using it for over 10 years!  I never wanted the full Spotify experience. But the family members are now also happier with Spotify at a significantly lower price. I'm even trying Apple Music now, price 7€ versus 10€ for an individual plan. If it was some kind of marketing plan, I think it didn't work :-/

If I had the option, I would label my profile as a Disappointed user instead of Runaway Baby. But when it is not possible to influence I feel sorry for any other Deezer user.

Hello there @ondrej.mensik

The streaming industry is changing. Here are a couple links to get you started familiarizing yourself with those changes.

France-headquartered Deezer has given the music industry its first solid hint that recent price hikes at music streaming services are set to become a recurring phenomenon.

Amazon increases the cost of its Music Unlimited plans (AGAIN)

If you read the first article, you will see that deezer is doing just fine; they don’t need your sympathy, nor do any deezer users, who are currently enjoying industry-competitive pricing and well above industry quality.

Thanks for stopping back by.

Totally agree with you! Family plan’s price is the same as for Apple. No stupid bugs like downloading music only works while having the App open or Podcasts implemented in a quirky way. But I have to pay the same. Deezer is a real disappointment. Why I need to share the space of favorites with music and podcasts?

Podcast ecosystem is very small and small podcasts are not to be found even Podcasts from Vulture

This is all very odd. Spotify seems to have an even worse experience.

Plus a lot of harmless music is classified as explicit content which also doesn’t make sense? Katy Perry is explicit because of “You’re hot when you’re cold!” or why?

A lot of question marks here to the entire Deezer company.

Anyway I deleted the app and cancelled my trial. Not worth the money, if I look at the competition.
