Being charged for this app is beginning to take the piss. 1st tunes wouldn't download, now Alexa won't play my playlists & don't get me started on it playing same tracks each time when in shuffle.

Gone on too long, why is this app sooooo gosh darn buggy????

Hi @Tim Millett, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We understand the frustration you're experiencing with the app, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Regarding the issue with Alexa not playing your playlists, we recommend checking a few things:

  1. Ensure that your playlists have valid names without emojis.
  2. Confirm that you are the creator and owner of the playlists (liked playlists are not yet supported).
  3. Please refer to the Amazon Alexa Voice Commands Help  article to ensure all prerequisites are met.

Regarding the shuffle issue, we'd like to gather more information to better help you. Could you please provide the following details:

  1. Can you share a video demonstrating the issue?
  2. What is the version of the Deezer app and the operating system installed on your iPhone?

Additionally, we are aware of some bugs related to downloading content, especially on Android devices. Our team is actively working on improving the user experience, and we expect to release updates in the coming months.

In the meantime, I've tested a workaround that worked for me: selecting my favorites and three playlists to download, waiting for the downloads to complete, then force quitting the app and restarting it. This resolved the issue for me. Please let us know if this workaround works for you as well.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues and improve your Deezer experience.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hi,

I'm using your Beta version & I have an Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Wouldn't be seen dead with an iphone.

Not sure about your workaround. Do you mean I need to add the playlists I want to play in Alexa to my favourites? When I ask Alexa to play "My 90's dance", Alexa does then say "playing your favourites from Deezer"…

Please advise.

Thanks

Tim

Hi @Tim Millett, exciting news!

Our developers have implemented a minor update, and the issue should now be resolved.

Could you please try again to play your playlist on Alexa?

Badge

Expected result! Nope, when I ask Alexa this still happens:

Me: "Alexa, play my 90's dance from Deezer"

Alexa: "Favourite tracks from Deezer"

Or

Me: Alexa, play Timz Dance from Deezer"

Alexa: "I couldn't find any dance songs on Deezer"

Yeah, still doesn't work & when I get the time I'm going to create duplicate playlists on Amazon Music or a different platform and stop paying you (cancel) for your crap app.

Thanks

Tim

Hi @Tim Millett sorry to hear that.

Our team is looking to the reports of some users that are struggling to send requests to Alexa to hear specific tracks, playlists.

Nevertheless, some users reported that the latest improvements had a positive impact on the experience.

But unfortunately, at this point I can’t tell when new improvements will come as this is collaboration between Alexa voice team and Deezer.

Ok, for now I've just thrown everything into my favourites, as that's all Alexa will play.
