In the Philippines is the price for the Family plan 195 pesos or 18 dollars?

I signed up for the Family plan trial but instead of having future monthly charges of PHP 195.00 as reported by other Philippine customers, I was told that I would be subject to a monthly charge of USD 17.98.  That is an enormous price difference.

Same question. I’m planning on to resubscribe but now it’s showing US currency from 129PHP now 10.99USD.

Hello @Miguel K Hilario @pochmagpayo

We have updated our prices and currency in some countries as all our plans include HIFI quality now.

The price for Deezer Premium in the Philippines is 10,99 USD and 17,99 USD for Deezer Family (both plans include HIFI, as mentioned above)

Thanks :)

I've noticed it too. I was planning to switch from Spotify to deezer and then surprise it became very expensive. It was just 2.52USD  before same as Spotify. Don't be surprised if people from the Philippines will stop on using Deezer and switch to Spotify instead. Spotify is still 2.52USD for premium and 1.27USD for students.

Seriously Deezer? 10.99USD here in the Philippines? We could just subscribed to Netflix for thay price and the rest goes to Spotify. Gues what always consider the minimum rate per region..10USD might not be expensive for people from US or UK but believe me that is super expensive for us here in the Philippines for a music streaming service. We will just go to Spotify for only 2.52USD, not to mention it has a better service. Goodluck Deezer!

Sadly true. This is not at all a competitive price in the Philippines. I was going to switch to Deezer from Spotify and even transferred my library before discovering the price change. Apple Music is still charging P199 (USD3.90) per month for their Family plan.

A person who plans a pricing policy at least imagines that 11 USD is almost 600 PHP - for the Philippines, this is a two-day salary. Do not compare with USA and Europe.

What's with the prices?

Just a quick comparison.

USA per hour basic salary is $7.25, as per google.

$1=Php51.95, as of 05March2022

Philippines basic salary per DAY (8hrs) = Php537.00 or $10.34 which is roughly $1.29 per hour.

A skilled filipino, basic salary is at minimum Php1000.00 = $19.25, or $2.40 per hour.

Now to compare for the price of basic premium which is $10.99 or Php570.00. That is a full day salary of a basic worker or half day salary of a professional/skilled Filipino worker.

Spotify Philippines offers basic premium at Php120 or $2.30.

Too bad, my experience with deezer is way better than spotify but I guess it will be Spotify for me for the meantime. I was really looking forward to return here again after trying spotify.

Hello, thanks for your honest feedback and make sure I’ll pass it to our Finance department. However, I can’t guarantee any changes in the pricing for subscriptions in your country.

The new pricing could wipe-out your market-share in the Philippines. :persevere::sob:
- Apple Music $2.49/month with HiFi
- Spotify $2.49/month no HiFi

I’ll switch back to Deezer if the price levels with Apple Music and Spotify.

ridiculous pricing, and you’ve lost PH market-share. Well, Spotify is better anyway so I guess this is the end of it. UNSUBSCRIBED

For the past 6 months my subscription was only 195 pesos per month. I hit the unsubscribe button Bby chance then after subscribing again, the price has gone up significantly to 10.99 USD. I hope you consider the pricing in the Philippines. Apple music  is also the same price (10.99) as yours but after signing in with my email on my home country, it only costs 129 pesos per month (Philippines Price) or roughly 2.25 USD/month. Thanks. Just a concerned client.

It's completely insane . Nobody in the philippines will pay that much for a subscription . Guys are you aware of the wages here ?

Hope you will apply same price as Spotify .

Same sentiment here. The monthly subscription has become too expensive  in  our country. Just discovered that Apple music only charges 129 pesos or 2.48 usd per month for Philippine accounts  which includes streaming all of their lossless catalogue and Dolby Atmos option.

Adding to this thread. I’ve been putting off switching from Free to Premium because of the prohibitive subscription price, especially since I just moved from Spotify and there are a couple of podcasts that I follow that aren’t available on Deezer. This afternoon, I got a marketing email promising a P129.00/month subscription if I sign up for Premium but when I clicked the link to check if it’s true, I saw only the old high rates of $10.99 and $17.99.

What I received in the email:

Then when I clicked the link:

Earlier replies from Deezer reps in this thread said that prices increased a month ago, yet that email i got is dated today, April 1, 2022.

You spamming us now with false advertising, Deezer? ‘Cause that might put me off ever trying or even using your app again.
