I received a gift code for the first time.

Question

I received a gift code for the first time but I don't know how to use it. So the problem is, I am an active paid deezer user when I write the code it warns you that you cannot use this code because you are already a member. Should I wait for my membership to expire or should I use it without being a member at all?
