family members get 'try again later( using joining link

one of my family members was able to join;
all the others get a message saying ‘an error happened. Try again later’

@jerome cardon the issue @CharlyMX mentioned notwithstanding, you could try some troubleshooting suggestions. They are all free and easy. I’ve seen this problem posted a couple times in the past few months, and everyone has been able to resolve it.

  • I’m assuming the shared link isn’t over 30 days old, in which case it will have expired.
  • You said you’ve tried, but I would suggest the admin (you) re-try sending the link a different way. Send it to the family member via your desktop/laptop and have them try to join from their desktop/laptop. Try it via e-mail if you sent it before by text (or vice-versa).
  • Double check to ensure the link is accurate and hasn’t been clipped. This is important.
  • Are you set on having independent accounts or might a profile account meet your needs? The admin can set that up immediately from their profile.
  • Here is the link for the Family account page if you want to double-check your process: adding a family member

You can always get in touch with the Deezer Support Team and an agent should be able to help. Best of luck.

Hello. There's an error in this section. We've already notified the developers, and they're working on a fix. We hope it works in the next few days. We ask for your patience.
Best regards, and keep the music flowing.

so family membership does not currently work; ok, thanks. I guess I will wait until it is fixed to migrate the family then.

I have the same issue. I subscribed to family yesterday, sent the invite link to my kin and only 2 on the 5 could join. All others get the “Error try again later” message after acknowledging their account id…

That’s painful as this blocks them from the service as in Australia the free access is not available!

ok, so support apparently told me there was a number of tries maxed out, and they reset it. The only way that worked was the profile, and the only way it worked was with members who were on the free deezer, which meant resigning from the free trial of a paid subsciption… Not out of the woods yet, 3 out of 6, 3 to go...
