Edit: It’s worse than below - I have a screen clipping from a deezer webpage which states that “Deezer Premium is priced in your local currency”. This is not what they charge!
***
This is crazy - a deezer user’s account page - pretty sparse - specifically names the country they are in. It also shows the subscription fee, with no currency specified.
It is a fair assumption for users that the currency is that of the stated country in which they live.
At no point in the sign-up process is the user alerted to the fact that the subscription fee may not be in their country’s currency. Many users have commented on this obvious problem.
So, there are really only two scenarios, as I see it:
1. Deezer starts displaying the currency every time they show a dollar value. I would have thought this is a legal requirement.
2. Deezer continues as is, suggesting that they are happy for customers to be misled.
I very much hope the first scenario is what happens. As a new user, I am happy with the service, but feel misled about the cost. Such an easy fix.. so deezer, please put this right!
