Try our remote control and let us know how it works!
You've asked for this feature and since then, the wait has been a long journey. Our community pet peeve for a while, starts to get shape in our platform…
Welcome to our remote control feature!
It's a great privilege for me to announce our initial test launch, for iOS users who are on the beta version of the app
You can now use your iPhone (or iPad) to control our desktop app, the Deezer web app, another iPhone or iPad.
How to access the remote control feature?
You'll need to have the beta version of the Deezer app on iOS:
Open app > Settings > Deezer Labs
Activate Remote Control
Choose your track and click on the “Audio output” icon
Select the device you want to control

Thanks for the good troubleshooting… It‘s very strange.
But iPhone 12 and iPad are working fine both ways vice versa?
@Alain.Beauregard
One more question and one more hint…
Does iPhone SE show iPhone or iPad if it’s used as controlling device?
Have you tried reinstalling and/ or logging out and in again on iPhone SE?
Managed to get it working from iPad : iPhone SE (controlled iPhone) must have Remote control activated to show up in iPad control list (audio). As soon as I disactivate it from iPhone, it disappears in ipad list.
Never managed to get it (iPhone SE) working from iPhone 12 (never appears no matter what the options). But it’s a good start
@Alain.Beauregard
Yes, of course you have to activate remote control in app settings at deezer labs on every device.
Ok, sorry, it wasn’t clear that bote devices had to have remote control activated to work. Documentation implies activating that for controlling device (but iphone12 to iphone SE still won’t work for some reason)
Many thanks for the help
Hi, will this feature be coming to non ios devices in the future, i have it working great at the moment with my iphone which is able to control my PC desktop and Macbook great but would also like to have this feature on both my desktop PC and Macbook.

There are plans also to integrate remote control for Android devices and to control other audio systems like Sonos that support Deezer.
For the moment imho there are no plans to use desktop app or web client to control each other or mobile devices.

That’s a shame, would be great to be able to control whatever device is playing Deezer from any other device in the house.
As i type this i’m on my Macbook in the kitchen and i have Deezer playing on my windows device in the living room, the music is playing multiroom so would be good if i could just skip the next track, change volume etc whilst on my Macbook.
I can do this with Spotify.
@scobihughes
I agree with you that this would be nice to have. But as I said imho just for the moment there are no plans because the team first is going to support most used devices. Maybe in the future they also will support controlling desktop devices each other. Don´t forget the feature still is on Deezer labs status. ;-)
Wow, this was a nice surprise, I’ve just dropped my Spotify subscription and went back to Deezer after a couple of years, and I’m excited to see this feature. I’ve enabled it on my iPad and iPhone and it works, even the volume. Sweet!
I tried the remote a few months ago but there are some bugs. Sometimes there is a disconnection between the iPhone and the computer and you need to renew the connection. For me it's a deal breaker. Currently with a subscription to Apple Music. I will wait until an official version is released (not beta)
iPhone 12, latest iOS (15.6)
latest macOS (12.5)
latest deezer beta version (9.20.0.0.1)
working with remote feature on same network.
Despite the error note, you can still hear it, but you have to click on the track again or sometimes move the progress bar a little forward
hello, Do someone know if the remote control feature only works for devices connected to same local network ? Or it will be as straight forward than what spotify has implemented (you can controle any device logged in with your user account) ?

It’s not necessary that all devices are connected to the same network. It also works with mobile internet connection.
Is there any new about the remote for Android? I can’t use a player/streamer on a PC that runs Win Deezer without it !
Thank you!

Android is integrated in deezer connect and you should be able to control deezer on your pc with the android app.

Sorry… it doesn’t work for me :-(
I use an Android mobile to remote control with Deezer , a Win 10 Deezer to play, both are in the same network and logon with the same user, but both can’t see each other.
Now I’m doing my test with a free subscription: is it a problem for remote control?
Thank you!
@albesco
As far as i know you need a premium account to use deezer remote.
OK well it's been a year guys. Android still doesn't haven't it. Crossfade is still in labs. Sure developing for Android takes longer but not this long.
I believe they are very quietly working on fixing the bug with Android remote control (connect).
It is very frustrating… my device is over there happily playing away and I am sitting here unable to control it without physically walking over there. That may sound petty, but there are extenuating circumstances!
Let’s hope within the next year...
It doesn’t work

Thanks for adding the feature. Straight away I notice that if any sound plays on the android phone, the playback pauses. This is not desirable. I want the playback to be uninterrupted just like Chromecast playback. I should not have to worry about playback stopping if an ad plays or the phone rings.

I want to control my deezer on my browser pc from my iPhone, but Deezer app on iPhone doens’t show any device and it’s impossible from me control deezer on my browser pc from iPhone.
Hey @uccidibuti I’ve tested on my side with an iPhone and it worked. Could you let me know the steps you are following or share a video in order to help? Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience
