Say Goodbye to Deezer Connect 👋

End of support for Deezer Connect

Our goal at Deezer is to create the best listening experience by providing features that bring the most enjoyment to our community. Sometimes, that means having to make tough decisions, like letting go of features that no longer serve our listeners.

The remote control feature, also known as Deezer connect, allowed users to control their music playing on one device from another device. We understand that many of you found this tool useful. However, in order to dedicate our resources most effectively and provide the best possible experience to our users, we have decided to discontinue support for the Deezer Connect feature.

We appreciate your understanding and adaptability to these changes. We are so grateful to the users that enjoyed the Deezer Connect feature and we know some of you will miss it. But don't worry, there are still other ways to listen to Deezer across all of your devices. If you need any help discovering other options, please don't hesitate to visit our devices page! 💜

Wait, what?! I’ve been trying to understand why remote control isn’t available like it used to be and this is the reason? I have a setup PC-->DAC-->long wired headpones-->a chair to chill, where i can use my phone to control the playlist. And now I cannot use it as always? Just bought the HiFi and now forced to go back to spotify :(

Switched to Apple music. Recommendations aren’t worse, but interface is much better and lossless hi-res is available.

Unbelievable, the music quality may be high, but everything else about Deezer is garbage. Instead of developing or improving on features you are removing features? This is my first and last month...

Q When I had Spotify, I was happy to have one feature, just that: I could change songs on my phone while playing a full-screen video game on PC or while doing anything else. Please.  I just need this feature, I have no idea how to change songs while doing something on the PC

Been looking for alternatives to Spotify, since it appears they don’t really like to pay artists.

Tidal is Jay-Z, which is not right with all the Diddy stuff.

Tried Deezer, I like that it’s based in Europe as well, but I’m not subscribing, this is a feature that I use too much, and removing it does not improve Deezer whatsoever.

After the Spotify announcement of the price increase, there was a article in a major German IT magazine on alternatives to Spotify, which also features Deezer.

I am giving it a go right now, and I am very pleasantly surprised. I was even considering switching from Volumio to Moode on my RPi based Hifi System, since Volumio does not support Deezer (pleezer).

It is a huge disappointment to find this post now, it means I cannot use Deezer as a replacement.
