Say Goodbye to Deezer Connect đź‘‹

End of support for Deezer Connect

Our goal at Deezer is to create the best listening experience by providing features that bring the most enjoyment to our community. Sometimes, that means having to make tough decisions, like letting go of features that no longer serve our listeners.

The remote control feature, also known as Deezer connect, allowed users to control their music playing on one device from another device. We understand that many of you found this tool useful. However, in order to dedicate our resources most effectively and provide the best possible experience to our users, we have decided to discontinue support for the Deezer Connect feature.

We appreciate your understanding and adaptability to these changes. We are so grateful to the users that enjoyed the Deezer Connect feature and we know some of you will miss it. But don't worry, there are still other ways to listen to Deezer across all of your devices. If you need any help discovering other options, please don't hesitate to visit our devices page! 💜

I, for one, will not ever be installing any app named pleezer on my phone.

There’s a vast and diversive world beyond your phone.

I am considering migration from Spotify to Deezer but without the Connect funcionality, it has no sense to me.

HiFi and hand-curated playlists are not for everyone, but thank you for considering deezer as your streaming service and for stopping by.

Is this why the Garmin Connect app no longer works? Comes up with a forbidden error message trying to go to connect.deezer.com.

Is there any plans to reintroduce a working Garmin app?

The story of a failure. It never worked as intended. I truly hope for Deezer that Spotify HIFI doesn’t come out. It will be painful to watch if it does.

Spotify is an overpriced podcast ad caroussel to me

I have noticed a theme that whenever a company starts a statement with “ Our goal at [insert company name here] is to give you the best [whatever]” you know that they are going to shitify their service. It’s probably a licensing or other money issue but it’s very sad that they are removing this feature so many people rely on.

Horrible.. Although it didn't always work well it was a very important feature for me to control my old HTC m9 connected to an amplifier rather than using Bluetooth receivers. It's a shame the feature has been removed rather than improving it..

The moment Spotify sound quality improves, I'm saying goodbye to deezer.

Wait, what?! I’ve been trying to understand why remote control isn’t available like it used to be and this is the reason? I have a setup PC-->DAC-->long wired headpones-->a chair to chill, where i can use my phone to control the playlist. And now I cannot use it as always? Just bought the HiFi and now forced to go back to spotify :(

    Wow,

realized today that Pleezer (thank you Roderick!) doesn’t work anymore. Installed it a while ago on my linux homeserver to remote control music playback. Worked flawlessly for me. Don’t now if i will continue my subscription. Really sad...
