@brandeeprecious apologies for the misunderstanding. Please check section III in the following article and let me know if that is the information you are looking for:  https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360007641517
Thanks

@Jaime. I am currently independent in a family plan. I am wanting  to have my own plan without having to start another account. I already had to do this once when I joined the family plan I am currently in. There are other family members looking to join that account and I don’t mind freeing  up my spot and getting my own. There should be some way for an account to be dropped from a family plan to individual one.

Since you have an independent account already all you have to do is what I wrote in my first comment . Just ask the owner to drop you from the family account and you then will be able to subscribe to Premium and you won’t lose any of your data

Hi @brandeeprecious we don’t have an option to do what you are suggesting. The only way would be to create a premium account and then transfer the music form your profile to that account following the steps I mentioned in the link above.

Apologies for the inconvenience

Hi Jaime,

so simply put, if one is part of a family and they happen to want to leave, they get to lose their account (and everything they’ve built around it)?

Hi @sepochirwa he easiest and most convenient way is to make your profile independent (Check here how). Then if the family account is cancelled you will still have access to your profile and then can subscribe to any other offer and won’t lose your music.
You can always create a new account and transfer your music from the Family profile to the new account following the instructions on this link: Transfer playlists between accounts

Let me know if you have any further questions :relaxed:

This is a quotation from the Deezer Blog from 8 Months ago.

"We’re also working on a future option that allows your family members to change their profiles into independent Deezer accounts. So when your kids move out, they don’t have to worry about their music library staying with mum and dad."

Is this still coming or did Deezer forget it?

This is the link to the Blog/Press Release:
