Just wanted to give you a heads up that, after careful consideration, we will be discontinuing support for the Deezer Xbox application.

What Does This Mean for You?

Starting today, the Deezer application on Xbox will no longer receive updates or technical support. This means that while the application will remain accessible for the users who have it  installed, it will no longer receive new features, improvements, or bug fixes. We understand that this news might be disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Why Is This Happening?

In order to provide the best possible experience for all of our users, we occasionally need to make difficult decisions about which platforms we can support effectively. Unfortunately, this means saying goodbye to certain older versions of applications, like the Deezer Xbox app.

What Are Your Alternatives?

While the Deezer Xbox application will no longer be available, you can continue using Deezer on a wide range of devices, including smartphones, desktop computers, smart TVs, and various streaming devices. We encourage you to explore these alternatives to continue enjoying your favorite music and playlists seamlessly. You can learn more about where Deezer is available on our device page here https://www.deezer.com/explore/devices/

We appreciate your understanding and support as we adapt to these changes. Our commitment to providing you with the best music streaming experience remains unwavering, and we are excited about the future enhancements and features we have in store for our community.

Yeah I just bought a new Xbox yesterday have been going crazy because I could not find it. Is there a way to copy it from my old Xbox to the new. I never had any bugs and I'd like to keep using so I can stream music while playing games. This way all the good stuff is leaving deezer for me. No bluesound node deezer connect, no Xbox what's next. Mandatory bt streaming to my hifi set?

Clicked on the link above and Xbox support is still listed. Good luck on the next guy to find this specific topic when researching why he can't find deezer in the app store for xbox

This sucks, after finally being able to use Deezer without it constantly stop playing for yearsnon xbox one, the app is now being removed???

None of the mentioned alternatives are usable while playing a game with my headphones on.

I hope that it will just continue to work, but I already noticed it is no longer loading all my playlists.

Ps..according to the supported devices page the xbox is still listed there...

Ben a devoted Deezer follower for years, loved the xbox support, even improved the sound with it’s pseudo surround effect.

No xbox, no customer.

Bye

You know they had been planning it for a while, the later updates began to dismantle the app. Limited playlists, limited playback.
And they left customers frantically deleting and reinstalling, as recommended by their support, wasting hours on a false hope of getting a functioning app. Why could you just no have left the old functioning app and just informed customers, instead of keeping us in the dark and deleting it?

First of all there's no Google home support in my country and now this! Time to say goodbye. Such a shame because I really liked deezer.

Okay, I understand discontinuing updates for an app that isn’t a big priority for a company, but completely delisting it is just a slap in the face. One of the MAIN selling points of this service was Xbox support, and now it’s gone forever if you accidentally remove the app or didn’t have it in the first place.

First the rebrand that completely broke the Android app, and now this? WTF is happening over there? Within just a couple months Deezer was the app that I recommended to EVERYONE looking to ditch Spotify or Youtube Music, and now I’m thinking about jumping ship myself.

As someone with a marketing degree who’s working on their MBA, do the company a favor and go back. And it’s okay to do that! Dodge decided to separate their performance division to “SRT” back in 2014, realized it was a bad idea, and went back a year later. No shame in abandoning bad ideas.

I’ve heard NOTHING good about Deezer since this latest rebrand, and had to uninstall the app on my phone and download the earlier version just to get it to simply function. Please get it together, as Deezer has been the last bastion of hope in a sea of otherwise terrible streaming services, and now the company seems to be drowning with the rest.

@JayEm77 Unfortunately you can’t. I’m kicking myself for deleting the app yesterday to reinstall it because it was glitching, only to find out that it’s no longer available. F my absolute life.

I have it on my One S that’s in my bedroom, but when I copy it to the game drive and bring it to my Series X, it just doesn’t show the app, despite it showing up on my game drive on my One S.

Hi @NicMagz sorry to here that you have been having issues on our Android device. Could you open a new thread for those issues so we can have a look what is going on.

Regarding to Xbox app was a hard decision but unfortunately had to be taken as explain in the original message above. We are trying to focus in other projects right now.

But like you said, we don’t know what the future can bring so fingers cross that one day we can return to this platform.

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

It should be that way. Stay on the same platform.

So now Deezer doesn't work on my smart TV or Xbox.

Will the price of your product decrease to reflect this continual reduction in functionality?

@a.m.daltz Deezer still works in Smart TV’s depending on the Brand, model and year, but not in Xbox.
There won’t be a price decrease because of that but you can check any available offer here: www.deezer.com/offers
Thanks

The most annoying thing with this is that i now have to buy a spotify subscription instead of Deezer.

This is why I hate Deezer a lot because you can’t listen to music on Xbox I’m switching to Amazon music and Apple Music and Spotify
