Panasonic JX850BZ (2021 model) - Can't sign into Deezer


Hi, I’ve just bought a Panasonic 2021 JX850BZ, installed Deezer but it won’t let me sign in displaying “ ! You don’t seem to be connected to the internet “ however if I enter the wrong password it lets me know so it has to be talking to Deezer’s server no? All my other Apps and online services on the display are working perfectly. Any suggestions? I see there was a new app update mentioned a few months back, has this been released/updated? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the App and still having the same issues. The App is working fine on my Xbox XS and LG Displays. Please advise. Thank you.

We did not release a new version of the app for Panasonic yet. 

Is there a way that you can reinstall it on your TV? 

 

Hi Yula, thanks for getting back to me.

 

I did uninstall and reinstall several times and did so again today before replying. Entering my Log In details over and over again is becoming a chore however I can prove the following for your IT fault finders / script kiddies : )

 

When I use a deliberate non existent email address with the correct password I get the message within a second or 2, “Log In - Your details are incorrect. Please try again.”

 

When I use the correct email but wrong password I get the message within a second or 2, “Log In - Your details are incorrect. Please try again.”

 

However if I enter the correct email and password then I get the message after about 15 - 30 seconds, “You don’t seem to be connected to the Internet.”

 

The first two attempts with wrong details prove the app is talking to your server and being rejected. The third attempt with the correct details suggests a routing issue after server verification. It’s very frustrating as I need to fire up the Xbox to use the App when I should be able to use it straight from the display. Have you seen the price of electricity these days!? : /  : D  

 

I had read a previous thread relating to a different Panasonic display and it was there it was mentioned a new update was imminent and that was 5 months ago. 

 

I’ve made sure the Displays firmware and software is all up to date and correct. All other Apps on the display work as they should. Just not Deezer : ( 

 

The Deezer App works fine on my Razer Phones, Samsung & LG displays, PC’s, Xbox and Amazon Alexa all on the same network.

I've got exactly the same TV and I'm having exactly the same issue. Please let me know if you find a solution. 

 

(on a separate note, I'd also like to know how to go about uninstalling apps, I can't figure it out)

On DE community we have users with the same experience with their Panasonic TV. 
As i understand Deezer informed Panasonic to fix ist because it was caused by an TV update of Panasonic. 
Let‘s hope they come with another update soon.
