I’ve read that a lot of countries can’t link their deezer account to their google home products. Will this feature be available in more countries and when will it be available?

I’ve been waiting for quite a while to finally switch over to deezer on my google nest mini from spotify.

Also did the new app update mess things up for anyone? I have my nest mini next to me and I need to constantly force stop the app or disconnect it from it because after one song it just stops playing….

Hello there @Albert F, we certainly want to expand in the future, but for the moment you can find our available countries here: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Unfortunately I can not tell you when new countries will be added to this list :disappointed_relieved:

But thanks for your patience.

Hello Yuka,

I'm in Mauritius and Deezer is available here, it is even included in my mobile data plan by Mauritius Telecom (Mauritian carrier of the French "Orange"), but it is still listed as "unavailable in your location" for my Google Nest. Please update the countries list.

Best,

Tibo

When will The Netherlands be added to this list?

Hi Yula, any idea van South-Africa will come on the list?

Come on Deezer, catch up and be ahead of you competition, your already on google home in some countries, finish the rollout ……. if necessary talk to google

So almost a year later, is there any progress with making Deezer available for adding to Google Home services, specifically for the Netherlands?

If it is already implemented in the neighbouring countries such as Germany and France, I guess it must be not technically difficult to enable Deezer support through Google it in more countries. Please follow up with Google, the Deezer community will appreciate it!

When can we use Deezer in Google Home in the Netherlands?

Hi @DmitryKyiv @Ivo Steenbergen , unfortunately Google Home is currently available only in the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
So far, we have not received any indication of when other countries will gain access.

Hi @Leonídia.Deezer

Thanks for the reply. Google Home is definitely available in the Netherlands. Google Assistant even speaks Dutch from 2018.

Did you mean to say that Deezer is available in Google Home only in the countries you listed? If so, then we would appreciate to know if Deezer is taking any steps with Google to add the Netherlands to that list. Or it is not a priority for Deezer for now (as it has been for the last few years).

Hi @DmitryKyiv, sorry for do not be clear as I thought.
In fact, what I mean to say in my last post was that Deezer wasn’t available on Google Home in Netherlands.

@DmitryKyiv , I was reading one of your  earlier questions/comments on not being able to cast Deezer to Google Nest Audio. Something I was able to do until some weeks ago. Have you ever been able to resolve this?

@mzwanenburg Hi there, I reinstalled Deezer app on my phone and fully rebooted and setup anew Nest Audio speakers. Cast function started working again. I still experience glitches here and there (for instance, deezer app can quit playback after I hit cast button, so I have to find a track and launch playback again).

Overall, it performs reason well, but the lack of support as music service through Google Home is still a bummer.

Technically there will be no problem. Does google honor the use of voice control for every country? I would like to use voice control of the deezer in English in the Czech Republic.

@tomasr Google Nest Audio is supported in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Visit Google's support page to learn more.
Thanks

I know it, but why? Why cannot use it every one which use it in supported languages?

What does the territory have to do with the functionality of the Internet service? Why does the service work in Germany, but not in the Czech Republic or Poland? I repeat, it is not about functionality in specific languages, but in English, moreover, in the common economic space.

Those are the countries and languages where we have reached an agreement with the third party, in this case Google.
For further information please contact Google Support.
Thanks

The list does not list languages, but regions. I would like to point out that geo-blocking is illegal in the EU https://support.stripe.com/questions/eu-geo-blocking-regulation.

Hi @tomasr, Google Nest Audio is presently accessible in the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

It is also available in the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, as mentioned by our Community Manager, Jaime.

Should you need additional clarification on this matter, please feel free to reach out to Google Support.

I know in which countries it is accessible, but I don't know why it is so. It obviously contradicts European legislation (geo-blocking). In Google, they answered me similarly to here, that is, nothing, by simply repeating the same sentence, which everyone can find out on their own.

Hi @tomasr

In the stripe-article you sent there is this section

Does this mean I have to sell goods or services all over the EU in order to comply?

Yes, the option to purchase goods or services must be available to all EU customers. However, the Geo-blocking Regulation does not require merchants to deliver the goods or services to customers all over the EU—merchants remain free to choose the geographical area in which they will physically deliver the goods or services.

This means, deezer or Google doesnt need to fullfill the service in all EU-countries.

Ok, if that's the case, here's my original question. Why? What does this mean for Deezer? Loss of customers. What will it bring to google? I really don't see if anyone is sitting there and is happy about it.

Hi @tomasr @EifachJarvis, I understand your frustration, and your point is well taken.

The limitations on service availability in specific regions can indeed be puzzling, especially when the language aspect is consistent across various areas.

However, these limitations aren't solely related to language differences.

They often stem from a range of factors, including legal agreements or regional regulations within each country.

Despite the universal language, operational complexities can differ due to these agreements.
