Google assistant - Something went wrong asking for albums or artists

I cannot find any “recent” questions on this - only from 4 years ago. So trying a new thread.

This has always worked 100% fine for me until maybe 2 weeks ago. No changes made.

Google home/assistant integrated with Deezer family account. Was linked to a “home” profile within the family account but I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the master account.

OK google play “Artist” - Sorry something went wrong….

OK google play some songs by the band “Artist” - Sorry something went wrong…

OK google play “Album: by “Artist” - Sorry something went wrong…

OK google play my flow - works 100% fine and is playing content relevant to me.

Also this is not a case of google not understanding what I ask for… as for example if I ask

“ok Google play the latest album by “Artist” on deezer”

The speaker first says

     “Playing “Album ABC” on deezer”

then I get - “Sorry something went wrong.”

So it seems to be the API call from Google to Deezer.

I have tried reconnecting multiple times. it is doing this from speakers in my house and also from my phone. I am in the UK

Does anyone have any ideas and/or a fix? Thanks in advance.

Same issue. Also in the UK. Started a few days ago, maybe a week or so.

Same issue here. DEEZER fix this issue asap, or lots of people, like me, will cancel their subscription and go to other streaming services (Spotify, YouTube music).…
