It's been over 4 years since the first comment about lack of integration with Alexa and/or Sonos! Come on guys what's the hold up! Although I see Deezer as an option within Sonos the play list is limited add not at all what I get using the Deezer app. Using the Deezer app, I can't choose Sonos as a streaming device! Very frustrating and may be the reason I cancel our subscription. 😖

Hi, few months ago Deezer has enabled posibility to play my own playlist via Alexa. The formula is “Alexa, play (shuffle) playlist XY”, or “Alexa, play my favorit music”.

when do the Service come, that Alexa Van Play User defined Playlists?

Is its working

Hi @tragester, indeed it correct what @jirikovoego said. Playing personal playlists on Alexa is available since a couple of months ago.

Regarding Sonos integration with Deezer, we are working very close with them to release great news during 2024.

This year, Sonos started the own voice control in specific countries and Deezer works great with Sonos commands.

So who knows what great new features are been cooked. Just hope you can stay with us to see these releases.

Hi @Leonídia.Deezer

I loved Deezer but cancelled my paid membership a long time back for the lack of Alexa integration with personal playlists. I have to ask why, if it is now working, that no formal announcement was made.

It seems like you could regain members with this simple announcement.

You also mention months ago. Is it still in some alpha version. Is this why there was no announcement?.

Any idea why Alexa won't play my playlists, apart from two?

It plays 'My Favourites' & 'Timz Faves' but won't play any other playlists I've created. Is there something I'm missing?

P.S. my download issue seems to be resolved & I hope I've not spoke too soon. 🫣😬

Thanks

Tim

Hi @Tim Millett, you should be able to access your personal playlists on Alexa.

Please check if:

  • The playlist has a valid name (without emojis).
  • You are the creator and owner of the playlist (liked playlists are not supported yet).

Please access to the Amazon Alexa Voice Commands Help article to check all the presiders need it.

Valid names & no emojis. Took all tracks out & created new playlist. When I ask Alexa to play "my 90's dance from deezer" She plays "favourite tracks from deezer" See screenshot of new list.
