Deezer desktop won't open on my mac

Please let us know if the system will update automatically. Keep in mind that you might need to close the app and reopen it.

Hi ​@jeremybonan the fix for the auto-update was implemented in version 7.0.20. So to get that version, you still need to update it manually from our website - https://www.deezer.com/explore/download/. Thanks

Hi ​@dekovach thanks for raising this topic. 

Indeed, we are aware of that issue on for Mac.

We will deploy during this afternoon a fix to restore the previous behaviour. 

In the coming weeks, a more robust fix will be deployed. Stay tuned.

For follow-up ​@José.Deezer,

7.0.31 available for download on the website, but not offered for autoupdate on 7.0.20 at least on macOS.

Hi ​@jeremybonan indeed, that is correct. Apologies for the missing leading in my previous message. There was a regression in that version 7.0.20.

You need to download manually this version 7.0.31 from our website - https://www.deezer.com/explore/en-us/download/ and from now on, the auto-update issue should be finally sorted according to our developers.

Also, this new version as sorted the sync issue between desktop and web player and mobile app and the issue of launching the app when you start your PC session.

With 7.0.40 out, autoupdate updates:

  • on macOS (7.0.31), autoupdate is OK. Got the yellow splash prompt and it updated smoothly to 7.0.40;
  • on Windows (7.0.31), autoupdate seems KO. Not yellow prompt (yet?).

Hi ​@jeremybonan indeed version 7.0.40 is 100% deployed since last Friday.

As far as I was informed the issue was fixed for both OS.

You still didn’t get the update for Windows? Do you have on Microsoft Store Auto-updates activated?

If you check there, can you find Deezer app update available? Please share screenshots if you can.

Can you share with us, I don’t have a Mac, how did it appear on Mac the notification to update Deezer?

On macOS there was a yellow ribbon under the main bar with the search field. I don’t have a screenshot. Will try. 
On Windows I use the non windows store version and the ribbon did not show up.
