Hello,
6.0.270 out now seems to fix the notarisation bug. Finally! Deezer will open “naturally”.
Let’s see if it also fixes autoupdating…
Despite being a more minor issue, the macOS icon has been made too small for Finder since 6.0.260…
Now let’s hope that Deezer moved away from the older Electron framework (v12 vs. current stable being v31-v33), that it becomes Apple Silicon native, and that AirPlay 2 instant streaming is included.

Hey
Sorry about that.
Try this:
- Uninstall the Deezer app
- Search for %appdata and delete any Deezer folder you find
- Restart your computer
- Download the Deezer app again (https://www.deezer.com/en/download) and install
Let me know if the issue persists!

Thanks for coming back
Ok, don't try that again. Let's dig deeper. Please tell me your device and the MacOS version you've got.
And if you can, please let me know, step-by-step, what's happening. Are you getting an error message somehow? The more detail you give us, the easier it is to find the right solution for you

Hey
Sorry that's happening. Have you found and deleted the Deezer folder in your Mac, before reinstalling, as I've suggested above?
You can also remove the Deezer app, update your Big Sur to 11.4 and then download our app again. I don't seem to be able to reproduce the issue here so we need to try a couple of things first.

Try updating the Big Sur to 11.4
I say this because we haven't been able to reproduce the issue on our side. There could be something blocking it.
Remember to uninstall the app before updating your OS.

Is there a solution in the meantime? Unfortunately I still have the same problem and use Big Sur 11.5.2.

Hey
thank you very much, that was the essential tip. Now it works. Is there any idea why it works with this version?

Hello
Yay! We are glad to know that it is working!!
The issue should be related to some bug between the new desktop app for Mac and the Apple/Mac operative system.
It’s being reviewed and it will be fixed soon. You can use that version in the meantime,
Enjoy Deezer!

Hello, I am having the same issue on iMac (Late 2013) with macOS Catalina 10.15.7.
After updating Deezer to latest version, it just crashes without any message. I’ve tried all methods mentioned above.
Luckily, installing older Deezer version (with link provided in comments) works.

I’m having the same issue on version 5.30.110. Downgrading to version 4.18.70 worked for me too.

Sadly the current Deezer app 5.something still does not start at all on my MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) with M1 Pro. Using the old version 4.18.70 worked … will be fixed soon (3months ago). Let’s see … what soon finally means.

Hey
I have the same MacBook Pro and can use the desktop app without any problems.
Please try that:
Completely uninstall the desktop app
Restart the Macbook completely
Perform a new installation, here direct link:
https://www.deezer.com/desktop/download/artifact/darwin/x64/5.30.140
After that, it should work normally.
Notice:
The first start takes a little longer because the Mac first has to convert the desktop app for the Apple processor.

Hi,
I’m having the exact same issue on a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey. The latest version (5.30.140) starts but immediately crashes without any error message. I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times.
I was able to use the version 4.18.70 posted above for about 1 hour but then the app automatically updated to the latest version. Which means I’m back to the initial problem.
Any idea?
Thanks

Hi
That’s what I did yesterday: I installed version 4.18.70 and it was working fine. But then, after a restart, the app automatically upgraded to the latest version. Is there a way to disable automatic updates in the app?
Also, do you have an ETA on a fix for this bug? I see this thread was started 7 months ago.
Thanks

I read this thread half a year ago (in the summer) when the new Deezer version came, and started to crash on Mac all the time when it was launched. Now it’s winter, and Deezer doesn’t seem to give a st about its customers.
