For this bug, I’m specifically talking about Deezer’s Sonos integration inside the Sonos S2 app. My Sonos app is up to date (version 16.1) running on an iPhone XR (iOS 17.4).

I’ve noticed that, despite my Deezer country selector being set to United Kingdom in my Deezer app, I’m seeing foreign language playlists recommended on the landing screen of Deezer’s Sonos integration inside the Sonos app, under the “Music by genre” and “Music by mood” headings.

Why I think this is a bug, and not an intentional feature

Because these foreign language playlists are only displayed on the landing screen of Deezer’s Sonos integration inside the Sonos app.

They are not displayed if you tap the “Music by genre” or “Music by mood” headings. You are then taken to a full page view of these recommended playlists - all of which are in English.

The foreign language playlists are also not recommended inside the Deezer app.

Hi @jamie_mot, thank you for getting in touch.

It might be beneficial to reach out to the Sonos support team to address this issue further and seek resolution.

Hi @Leonídia.Deezer,

I’ve been told that the music services (ie in this case Deezer) are actually responsible for maintaining their integrations in the Sonos app. Sonos just provide the APIs that allow them to integrate.

Could you check with your team to see? If the developers confirm it’s an issue on the Sonos side, then I’d suggest Deezer and Sonos communicate directly, rather than ask customers to go back and forth acting as middlemen. I’ve seen that Deezer and Sonos have a long-term partnership, so this should be possible.

Thanks!
