BUG: adding hundreds of tracks to Favorite Tracks not working

I just imported 1700 tracks from a competitor into a new playlist on Deezer. Considering switching…

However, in the web app (Firefox on Ubuntu 24.04), I cannot add my tracks to "Favorite Tracks" (and it does not seem to be possible to do this on the Android app at all). Even leaving it there for an hour in case it silently processes my request (I wouldn't know...) did not yield anything: nothing is added.

What I did: went to my playlist, checked the top checkbox to select all tracks (and they are), then chose "Add to playlist > Favorite Tracks". Nothing happens. When I select a few individually and then add them in just the same way, it works.

    I believe that you can add up to 999 items to your Favourites at the same time, that’s why probably it’s not working it you add the 1700 tracks at once.

    Hi there, I see, thanks.

    Yes adding two to ten tracks at once to the favorites is possible, but since the usual practical multiple selections functionalities are not available, I did not test adding larger numbers of tracks to my favorites. If you say it's 999, I believe you :) but can't the user get a warning instead of having the bulk action silently fail?

    It would be great to be able to select multiple tracks with a simple and classic Shift+mouse click, otherwise those bulk features are useless, since we still need to click every track individually… so I added my vote to the corresponding open issue:
