I blame the Arcam as it doesn’t work with some radio stations but they say I should contact Deezer help.

  1.  Is community the best Deezer can manage for assistance?
  2.  on playing a file from Deezer I get ‘unsupported file type’ error. I have unplugged the machine for 24 hours as recommended by my dealer. On plugging it back in today it needed the wifi connection reestablishing which I did. I also deleted and reinstalled Musiclife. The error remains. (As it does on some podcasts and some internet radio stations.)

any ideas please? Thanks!

Arcam after some to-ing and fro-ing Arcam tell me that:

“It has come to our attention that Deezer has changed the way that they transmit their audio streams which has rendered them incompatible with the CDS50. We have investigated the possibility of updating the codebase in the CDS50 to support the changes, but unfortunately it is beyond the capabilities of its streaming module. Consequently, we have made the difficult decision to cease Deezer support for the CDS50 effective immediately. An update to MusicLife to remove Deezer from the streaming options is forthcoming.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Support for other streaming services remains unaffected at this time.

“In regards to radio stations, some of the radio stations have changed the way that they transmit their audio streams, BBC Net Radio has essentially removed its availability from Shoutcast and a number of other third-party streaming platforms. As a result of hardware limitations, the CDS50 's net module cannot handle the streams or access the services that provide the streams.”

Hello @jamesmanning apologies on my late reply to you.

Indeed, since a couple weeks ago, some devices like Arcam, Moon Mind Neo, Onkyo, Nuvo and others have reported the same type of issue that has origin in some updates on our certificates and those brands affect would need to comply with our TLS certificates.

So that might be the root cause for the issue you and ARCAM users are facing.
