👑 She is back! 👑
The anticipation is building up and this friday July 29th we will FINALLY be able to listen to Renaissance, Beyoncé’s latest body of work.
We know Queen Bey is not one to share too much information, but she did say…
“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”
From the little information shared we know this album will take us back to the House music scene of the 80s and 90s and to its black Chicago roots, to club kid culture and the excesses of Studio 54!
Her wish is that this album“inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are”, her own words!
Her first single “Break My Soul” was intentionally released to align with the summer solstice on June 21st and mark the start of a “new era with new anthems” and it notoriously samples the ‘90s house classic “Show Me Love” by Robin S, and Big Freedia “Explode” an anthem of bounce music a subgenre born in New Orleans hip hop music scene.
