How Do You Discover New Music on Deezer?

Hi everyone 🎧

I’ve been using Deezer for a while now, and one thing I really enjoy is discovering new music—but I feel like I’m probably not using all the features to their full potential.

Right now, I mostly rely on Flow and a few curated playlists, but sometimes it feels like I keep getting similar recommendations. I’m curious how others here explore new artists and genres on Deezer.

For example:

  • Do you mainly use Flow, or do you prefer searching manually?
  • Are there any hidden features or playlists that helped you discover great music?
  • Do you follow specific curators or rely on algorithm-based suggestions?

I’m especially interested in finding music outside my usual taste, so any tips for breaking out of the “same recommendations loop” would be really helpful.

Deezer will mostly provide you discovery of music related to your taste so I wouldn’t say this is the best option to discover stuff you are not listening to usually . That being said FLOW has 2 modes . The first one is a playlist based on your favorites and the other one is discoveries which can provide some music which is out of your comfort zone. I wouldn’t say it’s a major 180 degrees but it can provides some new tunes . 

Generally I would use the Monday Discovery which provides a playlist based on your taste and changes every Monday. New Releases playlist get updated every Friday and can provide more new music based on your taste . You also have Daily Mixes .
