RECAP ON ARIANA’S RETURN
After four years, Ariana Grande is back with a new album and we’re starting strong by reviewing Eternal Sunshine . In her 7th studio album, she opens up about her personal love life and wants to share “her side of the story” post divorce to Dalton Gomez.Â
She already had hinted being done with other people caring about her love life and who she sleeps with in the recently released single of the album Yes, And? reminded haters “your business is yours and mine is mine / Why do you care so much whose dick I ride?”. After announcing the song, she lost 360k followers on instagram, reminding us that it is still not ok for a woman to speak up and refuse to please everyone without endangering her success.Â

THE MATURE ALBUMÂ
It's an album with a formula, but very well executed. A big touch of esotericism, sometimes almost meditative.Â
The echo that Ariana’s voice is known for brings tranquillity, It's a clean and sober album. She clearly sings the pains of love with more calm and wisdom. Reaching 30 years old is almost a canonical event when we understand that we don't know much and the best thing is to be alive. You simply accept life in a conscious and clean way.
The title track alludes to Michel Gondry’s film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind from 2004 and the impossibility of easily forgetting.Â
The video clip for we can't be friends (wait for your love) shows Ariana signing YES to the form “You have given extensive thought behind your decision and give "Brighter Days Inc." the exclusive permission to remove this person completely from your memory.”

The intro (end of the world) takes us straight to the fall, that moment when you felt you couldn't do it anymore. Almost a small waltz for the curtains to open.
In bye we hear the beginning of a separation, but with that feeling of "I have already lived this, boy. Shall we speed that up?" And it seems that dancing around the house, Ariana is saying goodbye to one more love.
We stay in that romantic ballad mode with don't wanna break up again. The boy tries to come back in our life but it’s time to say “no” again.
Saturn's return Interlude happens when we are about to turn 30. There is a profound change in mentality, Ariana is now 30. This new clearer, healthier and more vulnerable vision of life comes with the return of Saturn. The entire interlude is an audio recording from astrologer Diana Garland.
We can’t be friends (wait for your love) is the moment you realise there is potential. Remembering the growing beats of Into You (from Dangerous Woman), Ariana once again makes you get off the couch and dance smiling around the house. It's already a single with a video clip:

The feeling of up and down from the album is the most intelligent way to imitate the natural oscillation of life and Eternal Sunshine follows this premise. It is like saying “I'm saying goodbye to you here, I'm going to open the curtains, and even if today I didn't wake up feeling great, life is like that, right?!”
