„Have you tried turning your PC off and on?“
No!! It‘s not about reinstalling the app (with all settings and downloads lost!), it‘s not about rebooting the iPhone, it‘s not about resetting bluetooth connections, it‘s not about accessories, or checking for updates!!
It is a bug in the Deezer app! A bug that has been reported more than one month ago! A bug that has been discussed in this community in depth by several affected (and paying) users! Literally affected by a sudden and repeated volume increase right in their sensitive ears!
Please! Get this bug fixed - at short notice.
Any one experienced these audio volume spikes without a coupled iwatch?

Did you experienced this? The volume increasing without a watch or something else?
I’ve been having this issue too for months. It makes Deezer unusable for me sadly. I’m going to uninstall the watch app as suggested earlier and see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed…
And did it help?
Yes! I can confirm that after uninstalling the Deezer app on my watch the problem is gone. I’ve been playing music for the last three days without issue. This tells me the issue is likely the Watch app erratically sending volume adjustment commands to the iPhone app. Hopefully Deezer can fix this. Until then, personally I’m fine running without the Watch app. You get the standard Music app instead when Deezer is playing.
Hello @AndrewRobert @edwindejong @Noah003 @Elize @Thomasp are you still having issues with the volume?
From one of the latest posts of @Evil Raccoon the feedback is that this tip sorted the problem for him. Other users have done the same procedure and the problem was gone.
Schnorbitz wrote: Uninstalled the Deezer watch app and the issue seems to have gone! Thanks for the suggestion above. This is fine for me as I didn’t actively use the watch app anyway. The built in Apple music watch app works for track skipping.
Have you tried that?
Our developers are struggling to reproduce the same issue and without that, it is difficult to implement a solution.
They have asked to get this information from each user who is still affecting by the random volume increase issue (please provide information on all questions):
- Are you using an Apple Watch in combination with your iPhone?
- Is your iPhone in silent mode?
- Focus mode is enabled on your iPhone?
- Which AirPods model are you using?
- Was the app running in the foreground or background when the issue occurred?
- Did the issue occur after switching between apps (e.g., YouTube to Deezer)?
- Which version of iOS are you currently using?

Uninstalled Deezer app on my apple watch and didn’t see the volume issue any more.
But that’s not how it’s supposed to be. I used the watch app quite often for hearing music offline without having the iPhone with me, for skipping titles, for liking and disliking songs. So it would be quite a loss if we can’t use it any more. Please see my annotations to your questions below.

- Are you using an Apple Watch in combination with your iPhone?
Yes, apple watch series 8 (GPS) and iPhone 15 pro. Latest watchOS and iOS installed. - Is your iPhone in silent mode?
Yes, all the time. - Focus mode is enabled on your iPhone?
No - Which AirPods model are you using?
Beats Fit Pro headphones, and Bose Mini II speaker. Volume issue occourred on both speakers idependently. - Was the app running in the foreground or background when the issue occurred?
Issue occurred both when iPhone was closed or when it was open with e.g. firefox openend.
As I’ve written some time ago the issue occurred repeatable when I reopened deezer app on my watch. So the watch was showing clock face, with the small deezer icon on top. Then I opened the deezer app either by pressing the small icon or by double-clicking the crown. And the moment the deezer app comes up, the volume increases. - Did the issue occur after switching between apps (e.g., YouTube to Deezer)?
As written before when switching from clock face or another app back to deezer app. - Which version of iOS are you currently using?
Always latest watchOS and iOS installed.
Hope that helps you narrow the bug.
