Random volume increase to maximum

For about two weeks, I have been having a problem with the music randomly turning up to maximum volume. I thought it was a problem with the old iPhone (XS), after several reinstallations of apps and updating the phone to iOS 18 the problem persisted. I replaced the phone and on the iPhone 15 the problem still occurs, but surprisingly at a lower frequency. Normalizing the sound in the app options did not help. Please help or I will have a heart attack.  😭

Our devs are aware, and working on a fix.

As soon as it is fixed we will let you know.

Thanks for your patience

I believe I found a fix. I have an iPhone 12 on iOS 18.1.1. When casting Deezer to any device including headphones via Bluetooth after about the sixth song the volume would increase to max. I got pretty good at timing it and was able to quickly mute but still was constantly on edge lol. In the settings under “Music” there is a “normalize volume” toggle. Mine was not enabled and after enabling it appears to have fixed the issue.

Hi Deezer community,

I’ve been experiencing random volume changes on my iPhone and Apple Watch for the past few months, and I’m still waiting for a solution. I don’t want to uninstall the watch app because I use it frequently during my commute to work. Additionally, I don’t want to take my phone out every time I want to change the songs.

My devices running Deezer include:

- iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18.3.1

- Apple Watch Ultra 2 running watchOS 11.3.1

Somehow, I’m experiencing the opposite: decreasing of volume almost every time!

My case: iOS latest, App latest. Streaming via bluetooth to my car. I start streaming music, and make the sound volume maximum on the phone. Then in case of any interruption: phone call, stop streaming due to reaching the destination and then getting back to car - sound is always set to something ~60% of volume.

I’m experiencing this as long as I remember… Few months definitely. It’s so annoying :((((

I am experiencing this issue multiple times a day, sometimes multiple times in the same song. I am on Android and the only Bluetooth device I have are my JBL earphones.

This thread is from a year ago and I am having this issue as well, I am starting to regret switching over from Spotify...

Well then, @Jaime.Deezer @Leonídia.Deezer here we are again! After experiencing this issue back in 2024 for a period of time, and then not at all for the most of 2025, this issue has returned with a vengeance! Never a problem when I Bluetooth to my ear buds, but when I start Airplay to my floor standing speakers within about 30 seconds or so the volume EXPLODES to maximum (yes, they go loud). I always have the latest updates from Deezer, iPhone 17 and Apple 10 watch. The watch I got about 14 months ago and was replaced about a month ago with the same model, the issue with volume started about a week ago. As per previous discussions I will delete the app from the Watch to see if that works, however now I no longer will be able to control from my watch, which I do on occasion.  This issue thus far has not surfaced using any other app. Further, curious as to why the issue occurs using WiFi (Airplay) and not Bluetooth?

Since removing the app from my Apple Watch this issue as not presented itself. I view this however as a temporary patch rather than a true solution to the issue. Will the developers look at this issue?
