Error in Music Settings – “Oops! Something went wrong”

Hi Deezer Support,

Whenever I try to link other services I immediately get an error pop-up that says:

“Oops! Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.”

I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps (force quit, reinstalling the app, switching networks, clearing cache), but the issue keeps happening.

Can you confirm if this is a known problem or if there’s something specific with my account/region that’s causing it?

Hi @itskad !

The "Oops! Something went wrong" message on Deezer is usually caused by internet connection issues, a need to update the app or device, or a corrupted cache, but can also be related to third-party integrations like Sonos or even licensing changes for specific content. To fix it, you should first check your internet connection, then restart the Deezer app and your device, and if that doesn't work, update the app and your phone's operating system, and finally try clearing the app's cache.

I know that you have already taken some steps to solve the problem, but here it is again

Troubleshooting Steps :

Check your internet connection: by trying to switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or by restarting your router.

Restart the Deezer app: by closing it completely and then reopening it.
Restart your phone or device .

Update the Deezer app: to the latest version from your app store.

Update your phone's operating system: (Android or iOS).

Clear the Deezer app's cache and data: by going to Settings > Storage & Cache > Clear All.

Log out and log back into your Deezer account .

If the problem persists:

Check third-party integrations:
If you're using Deezer with a service like Sonos or Chromecast, try disconnecting and then re-authorizing the integration in your Deezer settings, as this can sometimes resolve issues.

Consider licensing issues:
The error might occur if the content you're trying to play is no longer available due to changes in licensing agreements with artists or labels.
