carplay - continue where i left off

Usually in the morning I’ll start an album via CarPlay . When I arrive at work it’s still playing.

When I return home from work ik want to resume playback but it appears the app has lost all knowledge of what I played that morning. I need to select the artist and album again, go to the last song played (if I cared to remember) and that last song will then start over.

Is there some way to continue playback? Am I missing a thing? Missing my old cassette tapes 😉

I have latest iOS and app. It just doesn’t work.

Just had a thought that what I want is the same experience as using a cassette player. Yes, I am that old.

Casettes always pick up where you left off. 40 years later we can’t do that anymore.

I am new to Deezer (switched from Apple Music) and I have the same request, related to CarPlay.

When I start my car, I want Deezer to resume where I left off.

If this is not possible, I’ll switch once more, to Spotify this time.

I can confirm this is still a problem.

Resume is such a basic function: it should always be the default

Hi,

I’m experiencing the same issue on iOS even without CarPlay.

If I build a manual queue, then briefly use another audio app (like YouTube), Deezer sometimes reloads when I return and the entire queue is gone.

It seems related to the app being background terminated and the queue not being persisted.

So this might not only be a CarPlay issue but a general iOS queue persistence limitation.
