Switch to Deezer Desktop Mini/Light

@Orson totally agree with you! The best workaround I’ve found so far is ModernFlyouts app. It’s originally designed as volume flyout replacement but it works great as a music mini player if you set the timeout value to a large number (so that it doesn’t disappear automatically). Works with Deezer, Spotify and any media played elsewhere.

I bet it’s because they use Electron, which does not provide enough flexibility and they would need to write a lot to achieve that… Spotify also became nasty after they’ve switched fully to libcef. 
Yes, it’s easier to support more platforms or just integrate their webplayer, but this brings all other minuses. Essentially the app is one big browser.

I wouldn’t count on ever receiving features like miniplayer, or proper equalizer.
Apple music uses lots of native code to bring out the GUI and that’s why they’re the only app which has such functionality and does not look like something out of place.

I can’t believe this is not available yet… Old user of Winamp, can’t really undestand how now, almost 20 years later, Deezer is missing some key features like this one.

+1, please make the mini player possible! The only thing I am missing from the great desktop app.

Based on the very disappointing lack of development of the Deezer app I am up for uninstalling it and trying this workaround. I downloaded *.Msixbundle from https://github.com/ModernFlyouts-Community/ModernFlyouts/releases/latest, right clicked and selected install. Opening it on my windows machine this is what I see:

A mini player is an absolute must for a music app on a desktop.

Something that has been around for decades now on Mac with Itunes, and other software. Deezer is great but really misses this must have feature...

Years ago there used to be a mini player I am sure (unless I am thinking of iTunes??). I really miss that feature, as people say, essential on a desktop, even when you have two screens!

Still nothing about this feature, 4 years from original post, it’s really frustrating. Will have to try custom alternatives, probably exposing user data to anons just to do what all the other streaming apps already do.
