Roon compatibility with Deezer

I have to add my vote and my excitement should Deezer be integrated with Roon! 

Please add Deezer to Roon!

Any news or should I take advantage of some of the 6-months Tidal offers floating around?

Hello @CanadianViking, I’ll try to get an answer, but as you can probably imagine, a significant part of the Deezer staff is on vacation at the moment, so it might be a while before I get any information. I’d personally understand that you feel like trying another offer in these conditions, I’ll do my best to get the information though.

With Google play music shutting down i was hoping to find a service that worked well in both the Android and Roon ecosystems.  I hope y’all can get something worked out with Roon i would much rather pay for one services versus the two i am paying for now.

Deezer team--

I have been a HUGE Deezer HD fan for years and proudly use my subscription nearly every day--nearly always through my home Sonos audio system.  I also stream content from several other providers regularly (various radio stations--jazz/classical/NPR, personal FLAC files, podcasts, etc).  I currently use my Sonos app to aggregate across all those providers, but even that is starting to become unwieldy.

PLEASE consider what EVERY company must reckon with at some point--you cannot be all things to all people.  What makes Deezer special is your vast musical library and flow/list algorithms.  Leave the user interface for someone else to specialize in and please focus on what you do best.  I am starting my Roon account today (with Tidal), and I have news for you….if I can get 80% of my music on Tidal, I’m moving, UNLESS you can get a commitment out WHEN you plan to support Roon.  

I’m happy to wait--just give me a reason to stay--PLEASE. Realize that most frustrated users are not posting their discontent--they will just leave.

This thread is of little value, it’s been live for years but no progress on Roon integration still. If Deezer management have no interest in Roon integration then they should say so.

I recently rejoined Deezer after receiving an email stating that ‘Discovery’ had improved and this is true I now find it far more relevant to my listening and the sound quality of Premium is also good.

But without Deezer linking up with Roon it means that Roon’s Radio function only uses my own tracks and nothing, (obviously) from Deezer is included.

I will now regrettably  have to leave Deezer  as it’s devaluing my Roon subscription. and rejoin a competitor. Hey ho.
