Roon compatibility with Deezer

The thing is, there really isn’t anything comparable to ROON. It works so well for me in my home for multi room audio that I’m willing to leave a product I love (Deezer) for a product that I dislike quite a lot (Tidal). I was actually going to say I hate Tidal, but have to give them some credit as they have integration with ROON after all…

I’d cancel Tidal in a heartbeat AND PAY DOUBLE for Deezer if it were integrated with ROON!

I have had Deezer for two years now. It sounds better than Spotify. I have the high definition plan I pay more for and it is great.  I have play lists in Deezer I would like to keep. I am currently listening to an Innuos Mini Mk III  and had to get Roon to do the demo. I am impressed the Innuos but roon will not control volume remotely.   Roon and the built in DSP works great and hard now to do with out .   I want Deezer.  The demo has Qobuzz which is also good but entering and creating my play lists from scratch would be a royal pain. The squeeze box in the streamer is not working so cannot get Deezer that way. A Frustrating situation and Deezer will most likely lose me.

I Like Deezer flows as much as I like Roon upscaling capabilities -  if those 2 worlds merge - NIRVANA :) Dreams come true some day I wish :)

Looking at the Roon Community forum there have been some initial steps and maybe it is COVID19 which has delayed any progress?

It would be great to see Deezer support as Flow would be a good fit and I think there is some dissatisfaction with Tidal in the community base. For example they recently changed their authentication model which locked out a lot of users with third party clients.

Having used both services I have a preference for Deezer but the missing piece is for me is Roon integration so hopefully we might see that happen in 2021?

Please do not drop the ball on this. It seems to me that there is nothing to lose and the only one benifiting from this not happenin ASAP is Tidal. Literally started buying CD's off ebay 2 days ago to cover the music I have on Deezer that isn't available on Tidal in preparation to cancel Deezer. It's worth considering that a big percentage of ROON users have never even heard of Deezer. They will if/when Deezer is integrated that's for sure..
