Remote control music on another device / Device discovery

My boyfriend won’t cancel his subscription to Spotify because he can’t control the Deezer app on the tv with his phone. 

I’m French and trying to favour French businesses, but this is making it complicated.

Thank you very much for your honest feedback. We understand the frustration around this but your feedback is the tool the community has to push through with this idea. I'll be passing your comments on 

I would appreciate the functionality as well, but should you implement it please (!!!!) don’t do this the way Spotify did, ie. one cannot opt out. It was the reason why I left Spotify. Please consider adding it but don’t force people to use it.

I also want to switch to deezer. Unfortunately deezer lags of this connect feature. I have used it with spotify heavily in combination with amazon fire stick and spotify app. This is really a dealbreaker for me.

Same for me...wanted better sound than I get from Spotify so signed up yesterday. Not having the remote control feature is a deal breaker for me too.  Can’t see what the issue is as you are only streaming one device at a time still. Can this not be implemented? (otherwise I’ll be checking out Tidal)

Hi @Rudi  do we have any update on the Device Discovery module? I know Deezer gets quite a bit of stick over this, I love Deezer and will remain loyal , but your big green rival has this feature and to be honest, it is a draw, I used to have Spotify years ago and it was there then!!

We are very sad to say that developing this feature had to be put On-Hold in light of the technical challenges we’ve been facing; our developers had been working hard on it for several months. However, we are still collecting user voices - so please make sure you voted for it at the top of page 1.
