New

New release notifications only for liked artists

As concerned by many other users in this thread: 

many of us get spammed by new release notifications of artists that they did not like. Mostly because of the new algorithm that also includes artists where we liked one song or featuring artists.

We only want to get notified for artists we intentionally follow.

For new songs, there is already Flow and the daily playlists. Instead, I get notifications every two days for artists I am not really interested in and on top oversee the new releases of artists I really care about.

Please either make it a setting to enable “only liked artists” for notifications or revert the notification algorithm.

    Hey, for the meanwhile I’ve slopcoded a simple tool using Deezer API to fetch the release history for the followed artists. Does not fix the notifications of course but at least you can check the releases manually: https://deeztools.net/tools/release-radar/

      This is so great, exactly what the notifications should be, thank you! :) I can’t believe it, there are so many singles and albums from artists that I genuinely care about and that I just discovered with your tool and instead Deezer fed me garbage through their notifications. This is such a low-hanging fruit with Deezer shooting themselves in the foot...

        I really don't think the notifications page should be for anything besides artists I followed. I listen to jazz, rap, and video game sound tracks; why am I getting a notification for Taylor Swift? It feels gross to scroll through a notification screen with mostly artists I either don't listen to or straight-up dislike, instead of artists I went out of my way to follow... there doesn't need to be an algorhythm for this! Let me choose what notifications I see. As it stands now, the notification feature just feels like another feature that separates me from the music I want to listen to...
