New release notifications only for liked artists

As concerned by many other users in this thread:

many of us get spammed by new release notifications of artists that they did not like. Mostly because of the new algorithm that also includes artists where we liked one song or featuring artists.

We only want to get notified for artists we intentionally follow.

For new songs, there is already Flow and the daily playlists. Instead, I get notifications every two days for artists I am not really interested in and on top oversee the new releases of artists I really care about.

Please either make it a setting to enable “only liked artists” for notifications or revert the notification algorithm.

Please, please, please make this a thing. It's completely illogical the way it is now.

All I want is 1. fewer notifications from artists I don't follow and 2. *every* notification from artists I do follow. Is that too much to ask?

This! Please make this happen. I still don’t know why I’m not getting notifications from artists I actually follow. I’ve tried to get an answer, but no one seems to know why things work they way they do currently.

I am hoping this gets fixed as well! The only solution to this problem is to use a third party site like MusicButler.

Hi everyone just a suggestion to add comments about the notification issues to this page👇 on the new algorithm update: https://en.deezercommunity.com/product-updates/algo-customisation-deezer-s-latest-update-puts-you-in-charge-80545

Make this happen please. I'm missing out on music made by my favorite artists.

- NO notifications for releases of artist I don't follow

- ALWAYS notifications for EVERY new release by followed artists.

Is still not a thing? When I click the notification bell in the upper right corner, the notifications are empty and it says to follow more artists even though I have about 350 artists as favorites?

Please make this bell red spot disapear ! I deactivated all the notifications not complaining about the missing "disable all" button and yet you push me some. How disapointing…

I agree! The artists that I get notifications for are consistently those that I have a random song or two favorited. I would only want notifications for new releases for artists I follow.

And I would also appreciate if those were actually consistent! Today, two artists that I follow released new songs. Neither of those showed up in my notifications. AND only one of them showed up in my “new releases” playlist. I have both the artists themselves as well as the majority of their songs in my Favorites.

I love new music discovery as much as the next person, but I don't want it to be a chore to find the new music that I already expect to like!

Why has this still not been addressed? Does deezer even read these threads, this is such a basic thing to implement it seems crazy that they'd ignore it for this long.

From my experience with this community, Deezer support staff is genuinely helpful and fixes whatever they can real fast, but as soon as the topic touches on the matter of feature feedback and prioritization the complete silence follows.

This is a problem that drew me from Deezer the last time - it seems like the actual product development goes on with zero regard to user feedback and actual expectations, and to make it worse they absolutely fail at communication by just keeping silent and frustrating their customers to the point of unsubscribing from their service. And it’s not the issue of support staff specifically - they have no play in this, it’s the problem of product management not communicating anything downstream apart from cheesy announcements.
